Kaeden's POV

Schools back in session, but that doesn't mean everything's back to normal. For example the other vampires are bullying Mg, which is stupid and mean, and also Rafael is AVOIDING me. I know ever since we got back from the incident over spring break things have been shifty between the four of us, with Mg killing Landon, than Raf attacking Mg, me fighting Raf and Raf running off and leaving us to die in the forest but I mean come on.

He's be acting weird, and I don't know why, and I can't really ask him why, because when I do go to ask him, he AVOIDS me.

But that's going have to take the back seat because Lizzie has now roped me into her plans to win Miss Mystic Falls.

Yay. (Insert eye roll)

It's morning time, so today I'm wearing a dark Salvatore baseball jacket with a light blue inside shirt, black skinny jeans and my high tops vans.

Once I'm dressed and I head down to get breakfast with Lizzie, Josie and we go over the battle plan for the dance. After discussing the plan Lizzie leaves to go find her dad, while Josie and I finish our breakfast. Not soon after Dr. Saltzman calls a school assembly

As he explains what we have to do for the arrival of the humans, I sit down next to Josie and let it all sink it. Once he's done Lizzie hands out our assignments and yours truly got assigned to move or hide the enchanted objects from the hallways and classrooms, and let it be known that chasing down enchanted books is not as fun as it seems.

As the other students and I move away objects, a certain blonde hair boy walks through the halls and grabs everyone attention,

"He's cute," one of the girls next to me mutters,

'He looks like trouble,' I think to myself as I ignore the new kid

Once the hiding segment is over, I go to find Lizzie and help her organize the tables, chairs, and all that stuff for the main hall. I was even able to get some of the wolves to help, as the beta of the pack I can do these things when Rafael is missing, or not around, like he is today.

But I'm not bitter. I'M NOT.

As Lizzie and I work, Hope comes up to us,

"I need another task, something more strenuous, if you have it," she tells Lizzie

"Does this have anything to do with Roman Sienna?" Lizzie asks smugly, "cause I can think of something more strenuous,"

"Who that blonde guy?" I ask and Lizzie nods and wiggles her eyebrows,

"It's not about Roman, I just need a release, with all these humans on campus I can't wolf out," she tells us and I nod in agreement knowing the feeling

"I'll make you a list," Lizzie tells her before looking off and widening her eyes, "the judges are here excuse me!"

Hope and I watch as Lizzie speeds off to talk to the judges. After a few minutes she calls Hope, Josie, Penelope for some reason and myself into a room for an 'emergency' meeting,
