June

At the Salvatore School, the end of the year means different things for different people. For some it's about reunions, to others it means saying goodbye. Summer is the time to set out on new adventures, see the world, grow in ways you never imagine, everyone moves on, except for those who don't want to move, that would be me. My name is Kaeden Morales, I've been the black sheep of my family for years, but now I've found a place where we're all black sheep. I've got a real family and friends that care about me here, but the ones I care most about aren't here for me when I need them.

Lizzie's going Europe with her mom, Doctor Saltzman isn't the headmaster anymore, Josie's stuck still trying to learn about the merge and how to save herself and her sister, Mg's going to spend the entire summer with Kaleb down in Atlanta, Landon's been acting quiet and keeping to himself mostly after the Malivore incident, and Rafael is still.....not himself anymore.

Add all of this, to the fact that I keep feeling like I'm forgetting something, and the prospects of summer vacation don't sound so fun anymore.

Right now this all seems every, hopeless.

"The boy really can eat, huh?" Landon asked while he places the stakes and ribs on the platter,

"Trust me, he's two point five times bigger than the average wolf, he's definitely gonna need to eat all of that," I tell him as I'm seated on the kitchen counter,

Due to the fact that's it's summer, I've decided to change my wardrobe a little bit.

I'm currently wearing my black low cut vans, a pair of knee high socks, a pair of light blue jean shorts, and a white thrasher shirt that I turned into a crop top. Just about my belly button.

If it were anyone else they were be eyeing me very hard, but Landon is as straight as a redwood tree, so I'm good, trust.

"Okay lets go," Landon says.

With that we walk through the school and head towards the main entrance. The only sounds, being the ticking of the many clocks, the floors creaking as we walk on them and our shoes hitting the floor,

"Never thought I would say it, I hate this place being so empty," I say lowly as we reach the entrance,

"Trust me I know the feeling," Landon says, and a sense of loneliness and longing flow off of him,

I take a deep breath and sigh loudly as I open the door for him, and we walk down the very familiar pathway

As we turn to walk towards the woods we're met with a bushy face and hopeful eyes.

"Doctor saltzman," I say as he turns to face us,

"Long time no see," Landon says as a smile growers on his face,

"I see Raf is eating better than I am," he says as he examine the raw food,

"Yea well, you get stuck in permanent wolf and you too can hit the all you can eat buffet," Landon says trying to sound happy, which he's not,
