A Whole New World (Draco Malfoy)

This one shot is about the Slytherin Prince himself: Draco Malfoy. Basically, Draco goes and lives in the muggle world and goes to muggle university and gets a muggle job etc. to escape the judgement he receives in the Wizarding World and meets a lovely muggle woman at his job. And also, I will not normally use 'y/n' in a one shot but I needed to because of the job that I'm having Draco and the reader do. Enjoy!

I sighed and pushed the stray lock of hair behind my ear. I put the mountains of marking into my bag before walking out of the office and into the sports hall and locking up. I swung my bag up onto my shoulder and called out a goodbye to the few remaining members of my department that hadn't gone home yet. I then walked out of the door to the PE office to be met with the Headteacher.

"Ahh, Miss Castledine." He said with a smile.

"Mr Davies." I replied with a smile, hoping this wasn't going to take too long because I wanted to get home quickly. "How can I help you?"

"I was wondering if you could meet me at my office tomorrow before school starts, we have a new member of staff joining your department and I was hoping you could show him around?" He asked quickly as if he could read my thoughts.

"Yeah, of course. I should be able to do that. Is he qualified or a trainee?" I asked my boss.

"Trainee, but your age." He replied to which I nodded.

"OK, who's he observing?" I asked.

"Damien. Is he still here? I was hoping to talk to him about it?" Was his response to which I shook my head.

"He left about half an hour ago, but I can text him." I said.

"Brilliant." He replied. "Thank you, see you tomorrow, y/n." He said with a smile.

"See you tomorrow, Jake." And with that he walked back to his office and walked back to my car and miraculously made it home before six o'clock for the first time this week.

I stood by Mr. Davies' office, once I had put my finished marking on my desk in the office and got ready for my lessons today, waiting for him to finish talking with the trainee teacher so I could show them around. I took out my phone and looked at the time. 7:15. The kids don't usually arrive for another half an hour at the earliest. I thought. That means I can still have plenty of time to get a cup of tea. At this thought, I smiled to myself. A couple seconds later and the door to the Head's office clicked open and Mr Davies walked out followed by a very attractive man with blonde hair and stunning grey eyes. He was wearing the staff PE kit and he somehow managed to make it look good.

"Draco. This is y/n Castledine. Y/N. This is Draco Malfoy. She'll be taking over from here." Mr. Davies explained. I shot Draco a warm smile as I shook his hand.

"Nice to meet you, Draco. If you'll follow me, I'll show you around the school so that you know where you're going and where your lessons are." I said with a kind smile.

"Thank you." Draco said returning the smile and we walked away from the Head's office.

"You know," I started holding the main reception door open for him as we walked towards the school's main building. "We don't normally have many teachers or trainees starting during the middle of the school year."

"Well, I started university a little later. January, the year after most people my age had started, so they were all the year above me." He explained.

"So, January 2000?" I asked, to which he nodded.

"How did you know?" He asked.

"I started September 1998 and we're the same age so, that's the January of my second year." I told him. "And Jake told me you were my age." I said quickly realising he probably found it weird that I knew his age. I pointed out the different departments and classrooms that were in the main building before we walked outside onto the playground towards the Sixth Form and Performing Arts building.
