chapter 12:Amai's monster self

Iko later woke up to the sound of low beeps.Iko heard a faint but familiar voice.
"Iko,Are you okay?"
"Dad?"
"Hey it's okay everything was taken care of."
"Where's...Amai?"
"She somewhere safe,she won't hurt anyone anymore."
"It wasn't her fault,she was s...shot."
"Its ok.They're going to help her for now just rest."Quill replied.
Iko felt like Quill was lying to him because he'd never not go into detail unless he was lying.
Later Iko finally fell asleep after hours of him refusing to fall asleep.Quill wanted to help Iko not remember too much of what happened so he wouldn't stress himself and reopen his wounds.
After a few minutes Quill finally left Iko's room.
Iko kept thinking about what happened and where she might be.
Iko couldn't stop thinking about how hurt her voice sounded when she said for him to "Get away from her."To him he heard drastic pain in her gentle voice
