Juliette:

Busy ka ba, love?

Arden:

Wow, ang speed.

Hindi naman, love. Why? Did something happened?

Juliette:

Mahabang rant to hahaha

Arden:

I don't mind, you can go on for hours.

Juliette:

Are you sure??

Arden:

Yes, lOve

Juliette:

Inutella ka

Arden:

Haha, you're so witty.

Spill it.

Juliette:

Kanina, I was on my way to my friends house. Kaso bago ka mapunta do'n sa bahay, may madadaanan ka munang junkshop. I ended up getting catcalled by those fucking junkshop workers for the sixth time.

I told my friend about it, but she told me, "naka-shorts ka kasi".

I don't know how to respond to her statement, but instead, I opened my Facebook account. Guess what I saw?

Arden:

And then?

Juliette:

I saw a post wherein an influencer blamed a raped and an abused victim for what they wore instead of blaming those fcking suspects.

Mapapa-isip ka nalang talaga na may tao pa palang may basurang mindset.

People should stop blaming girls because of what they wear. They should start teaching people to respect them regardless of what they look or wear.

Seen, 21:47

Kasi from the moment you start blaming the victim then you're already stand for the perpetrator.

Arden:

I got your point. Sino ba yang friend mo na yan? Hindi mo yan friend kung ganyan mag-salita.

You should report those shitheads. It's punishable under RA 11313.

Juliette:

As if may maniniwala.

Ah, do you know what scares us the most?

Arden:

I know, our justice system sucks.

???

Juliette:

I'm afraid of riding Ubers alone. How scary it is for me to commute in the middle of the night after attending a concert.

And I know, every girl that has been walking alone at night, at some point, has been afraid because there's a possibility that someone might be following her.

And it's gotten so bad that we have to be afraid of even telling someone we are afraid.

We're not afraid with our solitude, we're afraid for assault that can occur any time, in many places, to anyone.

Arden:

Your feelings are valid.

Tell me if you're going somewhere alone para I can accompany you.

I can even pick you up.

Juliette:

Nah, I'm fine. I can take care of myself.

Busy ka sa buhay, okay?

Arden:

Your reasons are invalid.

Juliette:
