"Here you go, miss Davies, freshly baked cauldron cakes!" Winky beamed at me and I happily took the basket from her.

"What would I do without you, Winky?" I questioned and her face lit up.

"Miss Davies really is too kind, miss!" Winky exclaimed and I chuckled.

"Thank you, Winky!" I smiled again before sneaking back out of the kitchens.

I was about to make my way back to the Ravenclaw common room when I bumped into someone.

"Davies?" My heart stopped beating and I looked up to see that I'd run into Ron Weasley, newly appointed prefect, Ron Weasley.

"I can explain!" I told him, pleading for him not to give me detention.

"Did you just come from the kitchens?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow at me.

"Yes?" I answered, sounding unsure.

"Come on, I'll walk you back to your common room." He said and I looked at him in surprise.

"You're not selling me out? Or giving me detention?" I questioned and he smirked down at me.

"Merlin, Davies, I thought Ravenclaws were supposed to be intelligent." He joked and I let out a breath of relief.

"Thank Rowena, I don't think I would have survived another lecture from my brother." I admitted and Ron let out a chuckle.

"How's Roger doing?" Ron asked and I rolled my eyes.

"The git still thinks he's special because he went to the Yule Ball with Phlegm." I said and felt my cheeks redden, realising what I'd just said.

"I don't blame him." Ron chuckled and I rolled my eyes.

"Honestly, what's so special about her?" I muttered and noticed Ron's eyes on me.

"Well, don't let me catch you again, Davies." Ron warned me, but I caught the amusement in his eyes and waved him goodbye.

The portrait didn't even bother with a riddle and just rolled his eyes to let me back into the common room. I snuck upstairs to the fifth year dorms and hid the cauldron cakes in my trunk after eating one.

I was sitting next to Luna in our charms class and tried to focus on what Professor Flitwick was explaining about our O.W.L.s. I was copying something down when I got hit in the face by a piece of parchment. I looked around for the idiot who threw it and saw Ron grinning at me.

I rolled my eyes and focused back on taking notes. Five minutes later, a second piece of parchment hit me in the face and I looked at Ron furiously. He was pointing at the parchment and gesturing for me to read it but I flipped him off.

"It seems like he really wants you to read whatever he wrote down." Luna's misty voice sounded and I sent her a look.

"Well, Luna, sometimes the bloody Gryffindor will have to wait before he gets whatever it is he wants." I told her and she grinned at me, going back to focusing on her notes.

I was doing the same and nearly started yelling profanities when another bloody piece of parchment hit my face. Honestly, what was his problem?

I gave in and opened the last piece he threw first.

Why'd you flip me off?

I rolled my eyes at his obliviousness and opened the second one.
