29: Breathtaking

I held Silas' hand in the car as we drove. I had offered to head back inside after I'd calmed down, but he had suggested we take our boxed pizza and find somewhere new to enjoy it. I hadn't thought to question where we were going as we headed up into the mountains, the orange glow of the setting sun through the trees putting my mind at ease. But as he turned down a side road, one I wouldn't have even seen had I been driving alone, my curiosity got the best of me.

"How do you know where you're going?" I asked, the pizza box warming my lap, "And how did you know about that little pizza place?"

"GPS." He replied, tapping his forehead. It was so easy to forget that his mind was just an elaborate machine.

"Are we fleeing the country?" I joked. We had been driving for 45 minutes, I had never been this far outside of town. He laughed and squeezed my hand.

"We're almost there."

I could feel the pressure inside my ears building as we drove higher, the leaves had just started to change and I couldn't help but gaze out the window. The combination of the winding road and my focus on the picturesque view started to make me nauseated. I let out a soft groan and closed my eyes, leaning back against my headrest.

"Are you alright?" Silas asked, I knew even with my eyes closed that he was fighting the urge to look over at me.

"I'm fine, just getting a little car sick."

"Oh no. Just another couple of minutes." He promised, "Just keep your eyes closed, and focus on your breathing. Let me know if you need me to pull over."

We drove a little longer, the sick feeling in my stomach fading the longer my eyes remained closed. As the car slowed to a stop, the sound of our tires against the gravel was familiar, reminding me of hiking with my family as a child. I opened my eyes, one at a time, and beamed.

We were parked right at the edge of the lookout area, no other cars in sight. The view was unbelievable. The sun had almost set, casting a soft glow over the valley below us. The lights of city traffic were far off and managed to appear romantic, twinkling against the darkening landscape.

"It's so beautiful." I gasped, glancing over at Silas who looked even more entranced than I did.

"It's the second most breathtaking thing I've ever seen." He replied with a wink, "Come on, let's get closer."

He hopped out of the car and rushed to my side to open my door. Pizza in hand we made our way to the edge of the overlook and settled on a large boulder. As the sun crept lower I managed to eat three entire slices, even half-cold it was the best thing I had tasted in ages.

Silas kept his arm around me as I leaned back, resting my head on his shoulder as we watched the sun disappear behind the horizon. In the dark it was hard to tell where the sky ended and the valley began, the stars and the city lights blending together, bright and beautiful.

"I could sit here forever." Silas whispered, breaking the silence. His hand caressed my arm as he held me.

"Me too." I agreed, "I'm starting to lose the feeling in my butt, though." Silas laughed and kissed the top of my head.

"Maybe not forever then." He started climbing to his feet and I regretted saying anything. I had felt so at peace just sitting in the quiet, enjoying the feeling of his arms around me. He reached down to help me up, my legs felt weak from sitting on a rock for what must have been close to an hour.

"Wait here." Silas insisted after he helped me down off the boulder.

He ran back to my car and moments later it roared to life. The sound of the engine was drowned out by the loud music coming from the radio as Silas cranked up the volume. I couldn't help but smile as he ran back over to me, taking me into his arms and spinning me as he planted a kiss on my lips.

"Dance with me." He insisted, the spark in his eyes visible even in the dark.

"I'd love to."

I reached up to drape my arms over his shoulders, resting my head on his chest as we swayed to the slow, romantic pop ballad. We moved together, his rhythm matched mine as he held me close.

The gentle way he touched me, the loving way his fingers brushed my skin, made me feel so whole. When I was in his arms I knew nothing would hurt me, I was safe and carefree. As we danced in the dark, I felt like we were in our own world. Up here, away from everyone, none of my fears or anxieties existed, only us.

As the song came to an end, I lifted my head to meet his eyes, his strong features softened by the muted glow of the far-off city lights. He looked at me as I stared, appreciating the sculpted lines of his face, before pulling him down to press my lips to his.

I felt something wild growing in me as he kissed me back, something seductive and untamed. I took his bottom lip between my teeth, pulling back and releasing it as his eyes locked with mine. I felt a rush of lustful adrenaline as I trailed my hands down his chest, planting my palms against him and pushing him backward.

He complied, letting me lead him back towards the parking lot, his eyes never straying from mine. A sexy grin spread across his face as we neared the hood of the car. He didn't hesitate as I continued to push him, climbing up the front of the car and sitting with his back against the windshield.

I crawled up after him, straddling his lap and planting my hands on the roof of the car. As the next song began, loud and powerful, I started to grind against him. His hungry eyes focused on me as I moved to the music, they grew wide as I reached down to take off my shirt.

I inched the hem of my blouse higher and higher as I moved my hips against him, my confidence soaring as I felt him growing aroused. I slipped my shirt up over my head and tossed it to the ground, running my hands over my half-naked body.

"God Maura..." Silas breathed, his gaze trailing up and down my figure, "You're driving me crazy..."

I leaned down to kiss him as I undid my bra, burying my hands in his hair as soon as I had removed it and tossed it aside. His hands trailed their way up my thighs, settling on my ass and slipping into my back jean pockets as I continued rubbing myself up against him.

Without pulling my lips from his I moved my hands down to his pants, removing his belt and unbuttoning his slacks. I moved my hips back to make room so I could reach down and stroke him, holding back a grin as his lips froze against mine in anticipation. I pulled away, slipping back down the hood of the car, one hand still stroking him as I met his eyes.

"Let me show you how a man deserves to be treated." I leaned down and took him into my mouth.

He let out a soft groan as I pleasured him, his hands pushing the hair out of my face. I had never been a fan of giving blow jobs, the few times I had done it for Eric he had been too aggressive, forcing himself down my throat. The smell and taste were never pleasant either, and I had more or less refused to perform oral on him after the third coerced attempt.

Silas was a new experience. Not only did he refrain from pushing on my head or thrusting his hips, but he also tasted and smelled clean. I looked up to meet his eyes, the look of pure ecstasy on his face making the experience more enjoyable for me. His pleased moans fueled me, and I found myself enjoying it more than I had thought possible.

I kept going until I was so aroused I couldn't contain myself. I backed the rest of the way off the car, unbuttoning my own jeans and slipping them off as he watched me. I climbed back up, the cold metal against my bare skin making me gasp as I crawled back to him, kneeling over his lap with his erection just below my pelvis.

His arms wrapped around me again, and he pulled me in for another kiss as I lowered myself onto him. He groaned as I started rocking my hips again. The car started to bounce and shake as I moved faster, our moans growing louder until we drowned out the music.
