I had unintentionally fallen asleep in my car when I heard my phone buzzing. Sitting up quickly I ran my hand on my face and grabbed it. My head ached a bit but I didn't mind it too much compared to how much my heart had been hurting. Reaching in my pocket I pulled out my phone. 1 AM.

Scrolling over to my messages I saw Can's name. Why was he not sleep? I clicked on it and began to read it. My shoulders were sore from how much tension I had been holding in. I was afraid that he was going to send me away again.

Can: Where are you?

Tin: I'm in my car...a few houses down from you.

Can: Why are you hanging around? You can leave.

Tin: Because I love you Can, that's why.

I waited a moment before his text came through.

Can: I'll be out in a few minutes.

True to his word, he was knocking on the passenger side door. Leaning over I unlocked it and he slid into the passenger seat. He must still be hurting from us having sex because he winced a few times. I felt bad because all the lube was at my house.

His cheeks were pink and I reached out to touch them before I remembered that we didn't have that kind of relationship any more. Even though, I still couldn't think of sleeping with him as a mistake. I moved my hand up to feel his forehead. He was pretty warm. 

It made me recall our first time together. Any time we had excessive lovemaking he would get a fever. I wondered how long he was pretending that he wasn't sick. I shook my head and brought my hand back to the steering wheel.

'Don't touch me.' He said lazily. 'You know I'm sick and why.'

'Why did you come out? You should be resting.'

'Because I love you Tin, that's why.'

'Can...'

'I can't stop loving you. I haven't fully forgiven you yet but I don't want you to leave without knowing I still love you.'

I didn't want to ask this question but I needed to.

'What about your girlfriend?' He turned his other cheek to me and that's when I saw a faint handprint. No doubt she had slapped him and hard. If I could break her hand I would but of course I don't hurt women. 'Hmm. I see.' 

'I told her everything. She was mad at me which I understand. I wasted her time. I really tried to make it work but everywhere I turned you were there in my heart. I don't want you to go without me. So let's run away tonight.'

'Run away? Weren't you telling me to go on my own not that long ago?' I was shocked he even suggested it.

'I had to think on it. I can't lose you again Tin. Look what it did to me.' His eyes softened. 'And look what it did to you.' I probably did look a mess. 'I tried to stay hard in my heart but I couldn't. We both suffered from your parents games. I was also having a hard time because I...because I kissed Tul.'

'You don't have to explain yourself Can, it was never your fault.'

'But it was, I blindly believed to meet you there instead of trying to contact you first. I thought it was weird for you to not come to me...anyway, he hates you more than anyone Tin. He'll do anything to destroy you. What I don't understand is why he has so much hate.'
