[Tin x Can] If Only I Could Trust

Chapter 13: Part 1

I smiled down at Can who was sprawled across the bed, his hair going every which way. He was almost in a deep sleep when I nudged his shoulder. I guess I had seriously tired him out. He didn't move. I shook him again and his eyes creeped open before he pulled the cover over himself up to his head. I shook my head with a smile on my face and pulled the blanket back. 

'Let me sleep...' He mumbled barely audible bringing it back over.

'Come on I didn't get you any food to eat.' 

'Didn't you feed me enough in bed? My jaw still hurts.'

I laughed lightheartedly at his bluntness. 'I mean REAL food.'

'Just go get it...I want to sleep.'

'Alright. Then I'm picking what I like.' I teased pulling his cover fully off. Seeing his body covered in my love marks set me off again.

'Ohh!' Can exclaimed when I covered his body with mine. 'Tin seriously, no. I'm exhausted.' My mouth came down upon his and he instantly reacted wrapping his arms around my neck pulling me closer. Just one more time wouldn't hurt.

After an hour I was finally going out to get us something. Most places were closed in the area except the one we had visited before and a mom and pop shop that sold fish and chips. I wasn't sure if Can would like the latter so I chose my ex's restaurant. I had things to discuss with her anyway and I'd rather not have Can around when I did. 

As soon as I stepped in the door jingled from the little bell on it. Right away I saw her, she was there cleaning tables. It was a far cry from how I recalled her last, drunk and making out with multiple men at a party. I didn't love her or anything so that didn't hurt me but since she had been dating me I hadn't expected the betrayal. I called it off right then and there. I had changed my number and moved. A bit extreme but she was the clingy type back then.

'Please, sit where you'd like. I'll be right there.' Her voice was unusually sweet and I snickered loudly causing her to angrily turn her head. I chose the same table Can and I were at earlier.

'Ugh. You're back.' Throwing the rag down she came over with her hands on her hips. 'What do you want?' 

'To order food obviously. Then we need to talk.' She nodded taking my order then turned it in. She returned sitting down across from me. 'I'm not one to beat around the bush so I will display it out. Your son Mean, is he mine?'

'Tin, if he is, what will you do?'

I didn't really know. It would throw a wrench in all that I wanted to do but I never shied away from my responsibilities before. Sighing I tried to smile at her but ended up failing and I scowled at her. This situation was frustrating.

'I would want to be in his life. He does look like me a little bit.' That part I couldn't deny. 

'He's not.' I didn't realize I had been holding my breath until I took a huge sigh of relief. 'A few months after we broke up your brother showed up. He asked if I wanted to revenge on you for leaving me. I was mad at you but I don't blame you for how you acted. I was in love with you Tin but you were so cold to me so I stupidly cheated.' 

'What exactly are you saying, that he's Tul's?' I simply ignored everything else she said and honed in on the part about my brother. I disliked that bastard but this was intriguing.

'I hate to say it but yes. I only slept with you and Tul, despite how it looked.' 

'You do realize that my brother was an adult back then.' That thought made it even more disgusting this situation. 

'I know...I don't know what I was thinking. After that night with him a few weeks later I found out I was pregnant but he didn't want it. He gave me money to get rid of our son but I couldn't. I'm many things but I couldn't kill my baby.' I almost felt bad for her. 'My parents kicked me out so I lived here at the restaurant and working here since. There's rooms upstairs so it wasn't too hard on me. Shortly after Mean was born Tul came to see me. Well I thought he did but he was going to see my brother Hin. You remember him don't you?'

'Wait...you mean your brother...the gay one?' Why would he go see him?

'Yes. Tul and him were secretly having an affair. They were a couple for as long as I was pregnant but after learning that he was the father of my child they broke up. Tul was devastated.' This was so much information I couldn't comprehend it all. 'He has been calling me asking for Hin since that day but my brother refuses to talk to him. I thought he might have sent you here since he had just called right before I saw you.' 

'I didn't know...' 

'Alright, your food is done. I'll package it for you.' 

Not only was Tul bisexual but he has a son out of wedlock. I could care less about him liking a man, to be honest I knew that since he seemed obsessed with me. The best part was his son. I would store this for a rainy day.

Before I left I turned and asked her for a favor.

'Don't tell anyone I'm here. I don't beg but this I am from you. Thank you in advance.' Her eyes widened at my out of character behavior. 'Lastly, does your brother still own that expensive ring shop?'

'Yes, it's still there.' 

I smiled at her before heading out the door. 'Thank you once again.'

Can was still sleeping when I brought the food back. I kissed his forehead and he stirred at the action. I really took my time to look at his peaceful face. He was beyond cute when he slept. His mouth was slightly ajar and he was laying on his side. I would have continued to stare at him but he had been too long without having anything to eat. Putting the bag close to his nose seemed to make him stir a bit.

'Can, wake up the food is almost cold.' His eyes opened and automatically his stomach growled. He sat up and hopped off the bed snatching the bag from me. He laid it out on the table and then took my hand, dragging me to the table.

Can was being attentive and it was funny to me. Sitting on my lap he started putting food on a fork and shoveling it into my mouth. This was the first time he actually fed me. I never thought that this crude fool could be so sweet.

'You went and saw if that was your kid or not, didn't you?' His words were casual.

'How did you figure that out?'

'Because I know you. You wanted to find out first to protect me. So the result is that it's not your kid or else you wouldn't be so calm.'

'Who knew you could be so smart.' I was astonished.

'Hey!' Can frowned punching my shoulder hard.

'Why get mad over the truth?' I pinched his chin and kissed his puffed out cheeks. 'It's why I fell in love with you isn't it? You are the only person to catch my attention Can and the only one to have it forever. Tomorrow we will go somewhere so dress up nicely.'

He pushed some more food into my mouth. 'What do I have that's nice?' 

'Hmm, you can go naked.' I smirked.

'Stop being a damn pervert Tin.' 

'What do you expect me to be like when you are sitting on my lap with just a shirt on feeding me like you're my wife already my sexy Can...taloupe?'

His sharp eyes snapped to me and he poked my mouth hard with the fork almost drawing blood.

'Oi! I hate being called that!'

'Ouch. My wife Can is so brutal.'

'Stop calling me that too.' He grabbed my hair and pulled it hard.

'You're treating your husband with such disregard. He might have to teach you a lesson.' 

'Husband and wife, who the fuck said we are any of these?'

'I'm warning you Can, talk nicely.'

My tone must have expressed my feelings accurately because he shut up and began to eat some food too. If he didn't like these terms of endearment would he even be open to my plans for tomorrow? It was a matter of yes or no that would undoubtedly keep me awake fine tuning my ideas most of the night.
