Alina's POV:
I watched as they escorted my daughter back in. I shed a tear, but I knew deep down that this was for the best. I waited for the social worker to come and speak to me.
She sat down in front of me.
"Any news?" I asked.
"Well, she seems to be adjusting well," she said.
"Do you have any idea how long she will be in here for?"
"We can't tell yet. We are giving her a first dose of medication tonight so we will see how she reacts to that. We will need to keep a close observation just in case we need to change anything. Today's session went well though, according to the therapist."
I smiled, "oh that's great. I really hope the medications are a good fit for her."
"So do I," she said, "until then, you should definitely figure something out about her school situation so that she has a smooth transition when she is discharged."
"I plan on going in first thing Monday morning," I said.
"Great, well I hope you have a nice rest of your night Mrs. Jewel. We will see you again tomorrow."
I smiled warmly, "thank you, you too."
I left feeling optimistic. Nicolette will get out soon. I will find out who did this to her.
