Nicolette's POV:
During class, I slipped away to use the bathroom.
"Hey," said a voice while I was sitting on the toilet. After I finished, I got out of the stall and saw Maude.
"Maude?! What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Same thing as you," she shrugged.
"I've missed you," I said.
"I know you did, that's why I'm here."
"You came in here because you knew I missed you?"
"Yeah, but I'll see you later, I have to get back to my class," she said.
"Why aren't you in my class?"
"I'm older, remember? The curriculum is a little different for my group."
I didn't say anything.
"See ya," she said and she vanished.

During lunch, I scanned the cafeteria so that I could find Maude.
"Whatcha lookin for?" Candace startled me.
"My friend," I said.
"Who?"
"Her name is Maude, have you seen her?"
"No, I don't know anyone with that name."
"Okay, that's fine. I'll catch up with her later I guess."
I sat with Candace and ate my lunch.

It was time for group therapy.
"Let's start off today's session by talking about some of the friends you've made here, how about we start with Candace today."
"Well I've become really good friends with Nicolette, and she's also my roommate. We've been inseparable since she got here. I was lonely for the first few days I was in here until she came in too."
It was my turn. "I like Candace too, she's made me feel welcome here. I also just realized that my best friend is here too."
"Your best friend?" asked the therapist.
"Yeah, her name is Maude. I saw her in the bathroom earlier. I've heard her talking to me all day but haven't exactly gotten to see her since this morning."
She wrote something down and then smiled, "thank you, next person."
