Alina's POV:
It was time for my next daily visit. I saw Nicolette again and she seemed happier than ever.
"How was today? You seem happy."
"I am happy, I've been having a lot of fun here with my friends."
"Good honey, I'm glad you're making friends."
We talked for a while until she had to go.
"Hi Alina," said the social worker, "I have a concern about your daughter."
"Oh, what is it?"
"She said her friend Maude is here."
"What do you mean?"
"She said she is also a patient here."
"I don't see the problem," I said.
"There is nobody here named Maude, I don't think she exists."
"So what are you saying?"
"The psychiatrist did a thorough evaluation with Nicolette and she's been diagnosed with schizophrenia."
