Love Crumbles

Love flies, fades but love also crumbles in a moment, in a second, in a heartbeat.

Love crumbles only to leave a brash, unforgiving voice in your head that tells you somewhere someday you did something wrong for him to walk away.

But he comes back each time he leaves to lure you into the pleasure of that toxic love.

Cries get muffled, lies get better, words get disgruntled but you stand still and allow him to stab you cause oh you know, he loves you.

But then some nights he walks at the road of passion and betrayal and his love crumbles but his abashed soul returns to you,

he knows you'll love him the same anyways.

Years worn you to your bones, life felt like everything you thought it wouldn't be.

Your kids are the only friends you have,

only love you have but everything feels bold and blue,

cause no matter how much love they give to you,

 you'll never give enough,

You are still saving all your love for that man, A man who is far gone.

And his love crumbles every day he comes back home because you are not the one for him.

Each day feels like a doomsday, I know

But Years from now,

I see you standing at the shore of the sea as large as your thoughts,

With sand covering every inch of your feet,

With eyes mirroring the calms of the sea,

With a smile so small, a smile so happy,

When you've finally learned your lesson and left him at a path that wasn't yours to take.

When you know what loves feel like.

And then at that moment there won't be a force so powerful and a man so strong to make your love crumble.
