Scarred hands, scared mind.
Short breaths, long life.
I see her, I do nothing..
In the mirror then she smiles,
Convinces herself it's fine.
Loud laughs, sad smiles.
Battle cries, regular lies.
I sink her into her mind at night
In the mirror then she smiles,
Reminds her she is pristine.
World runs, heart halts.
Mind rushes, words stop.
I let her live the life she doesn't deserve,
In the mirror then she smiles
Just because she is grateful to be alive.
Skilled lovers, unskilled love.
Broken hearts, building bonds.
I let her fall for a world she didn't know.
In the mirror then she smiles
Breathe and know it's fine.
Broken mirror, unknown terrors
No more smiles, no more lies
I let her know she is not fine.
In her body she reflects,
Unveil the beauty she masks,
Picks up the pieces of her heart she lacked.
