At Luke's place

I'm staying in the kitchen enjoying my coffee, while my mind is in another place.

"Are you thinking about the new mechanic?"
I'm greeted by a shirtless Damien.
"What? No! Why would I be thinking about her? She has nothing to do with cars", I say.
"Her diploma says something else", Ryan said.
"You looked through her diploma?"
"Idiot, did you forget that we did the same with the ex mechanic?", Elijah said.
"Oh, yeah. And what her diploma says?"
"She graduated mechanical engineering with the highest G.P.A", Damien answers.
"Probably she was doing something else for the highest grades", I say.
"I won't bet on this. Being a girl and graduating mechanical engineering is something big though", Damien says.
"Maybe you're right. But I don't trust her that she's a real mechanic"
Damien rolls his eyes.
"You're impossible. I'm going to take a shower", Damien says.

At the garage

"Good morning John!", I say.
"Morning Alexis. You're ready for the first day?"
"Yes. I can't wait until I see a car which needs to be fixed", I say with an excitement in my voice.
"You really like to fix cars, don't you?", John asks.
"I find in them an escaping place, if you know what I mean"
"I understand. It's great to meet someone who likes to fix cars. But this is going to take a little bit. Would you help me clean these wrenches and screwdrivers for now?"
"Yes, sure"

2 hours later everything was cleaned up. I couldn't help myself and I cleaned the whole service, while John made some paperwork. Now he left to buy us drinks.
I heard an engine. But why does it sound familiar?

"Hello. Oh, it's you again", says green eyes.
"No shit Sherlock. I thought you're talking to my ghost", I say.
"Are you always being a bitch?", he sasses.
"Are you always being an idiot?" I fight back.
"Where's my mechanic?", he asks.
"I don't know and I don't care. But from now I'm your mechanic, either you like it or not"
His friend looked amused though.
"Where's John?"
"He went out to buy drinks", I say arranging the left wrenches.
The silence took over,  until they started to mumble.
"So you really like being a mechanic", the friend of green eyes asked.
"Yes I do", I answer back.
"That's nice. My name is Damien", he says.
"Alexis, but you already know that", I say.
"I want to ask you something. Of course answer if you want", Damien says.
"Shoot"
"Do you know a girl Maya?"
"Yes, she's my best friend. What's the matter with her?", I ask with a raised eyebrow.
"Could you give me her number?"
"For?"
"I just want to hang out with her. She seems like a nice girl"
"Okay, but if you hurt her or break her heart, you'll have to deal with me. Understood?"
"Yeah, sure", he says and I gave him May's number.
"You look cute when you talk nicely", green eyes says.
"And you look wise when you shut up green eyes"
"Being a bitch again?"
"Not bigger than you"
"You called me a girl?"
"You prefer to call you a fuck boy? Cause that's the way you looked at the club", I say.
His confidence faded away and he turned around to leave, but not before turning to me.
"Luke, my name's Luke"

At home

"You did what?!", May basically screams.
"For fucks sake May, I'm using these ears. I gave him your number. It's the guy that you were talking at the club"
"Wait. You mean that hottie with tattoos?"
"Yeah, him", I say and she jumps in my arms.
"Thank you", she says and she leaves me confused on my bed.
Okay? Thank you for what?

Luke, my name's Luke.

This has been in my mind for hours.
Not seconds, not minutes. Hours.
A beautiful name for such an handsome boy.
Wait what?! What did I just say? Fuck off Alex, he's just a fuck boy.
Those green eyes though. Argh! Snap it Alex!
Don't think about him.

I took my laptop and searched for a movie. Luke is not going to be on my mind tonight.

At Luke's place

"Man, are you okay?", I hear Damien.
"Huh? Yeah! Why wouldn't I be?", I ask.
"I don't know. Looks like you're thinking at someone"
I roll my eyes.
"Is it true, isn't it?"
Silence.
"I fucking knew it. She has an effect on you", Damien smirks.
"She has not. She's just another girl like the others"
"She is not. She likes cars, she's a mechanic, and she is tough", Damien says and he leaves.

And with that I'm left alone in the back of the house with my thoughts.
