"Finn, take Ape to see the horses." Tommy ordered after i finished the washing up.
"Wait! You have horses?!" I lifted my eyebrows shocked.
"Yeah, c'mon I'll show ya." Finn called.
I saw John watching us, so i smiled at him reassuringly then walk out the door, it was awkwardly silent between us both at first.
"So who was it?" He asked confusing me.
"Who was what?"
"That!" He exclaimed pointing to my neck. Shit i had covered it with my hair but clearly he had seen it, what if Sammy saw it too? He would murder John.
"Why you wanna know?" I asked not knowing whether i trusted him.
"T'was John wern't it?" he asked ignoring my question.
"maybe" i looked down to my shoes, kicking dropped coal as we walked.
"Anyway it didn't mean anything, we where both pissed." I pointed out
"okay but Sammy will kill him if he finds out, you know he is 18 right?"
"yeah that's not that bad." I said.
"Yeah, anyway we're ere." He said, signalling to a stable with the beautiful gray horse i saw yesterday, in and hanging his head over the door with pricked ears.
