The air was light and cheerful at the table with the five friends goofing around and enjoying their "all-you-can-eat" luxury buffet. There was rarely a moment that someone didn't have a smile on their face or wasn't shoving their faces with food.

Akira watched as Ann looked as she was in pure bliss eating her cake, then Ryuji who was shoving face with food and Morgana who was sprawled out on the seat grumbling in satisfaction at the fish he ate.

He then looked over to his right to see Yuuen look back at him and laugh a bit.

"You have frosting on your cheek." Yuuen giggled making Akira smile awkwardly.

"I do?" He questioned as she wiped it off with a cheery smile, making Akira blush a bit.

"Ann, if you keep eating all that cake you're not going to fit into the modeling outfits they give you." Ryuji teased earning a kick in the shin from the girl.

"Says the one shoving his mouth with meat. At least I savor my food, instead of shoving it down my throat like a vacuum cleaner." Ann retorted earning a chuckle from the blue and black-haired spectators.

"See, but I can get away with it because I don't gain everything I eat." Ryuji said slyly making Ann furrow her brows.

"It's not my fault girls weren't blessed with you "Male Metabolism". I know I'm chunky! You don't have to point it out!" Ann said offended turned away making Yuuen glare at Ryuji.

"What?" Ryuji asked obliviously in which the bluenette just turned her head with a tsk.

"Ann you're not chunky," Akira said plainly earning the blonde's attention.

"You don't have to make me feel better..." She said sadly indulging in her cake as if eating it could cure her sadness.

"I'm serious. I think you're really pretty and your body is perfect as it is." Akira said flatly not thinking too hard on what he said.

The blonde's eyes widened as she looked away with a massive blush on her face.

"B-but! Not in that way!" Akira quickly defended turning a little pink, "I just mean that you don't have to worry about gaining weight..." He coughed a bit feeling embarrassed at how badly that came out.

"Nice Akira," Yuuen said sarcastically with a laugh. "It's ok, we all know you're a stud with the ladies." She joked taking a sip of her coffee, that she seems to get every place she goes.

Ryuji watched with a slight frown until he got an ingenious idea.

"Damn! Ann, I think your body's hot too!" Ryuji said earning a kick from Ann.

"Pervert!" Ann hissed covering her chest.

"And then we have some others who aren't as smooth..." Yuuen said gesturing to the male who was now clutching his defiantly bruised leg in pain.

"What the hell! I don't understand you, women! I said the same thing as Akira, so why the hell did I get kicked?!" Ryuji said pathetically making both Yuuen, Akira and Morgana shake their head in hopelessness.

"It's ok Ryuji, we'll love you even if you aren't a stud." Yuuen joked patting his back a bit.

"You aren't making me feel any better." He glared but it was free of any malice.

Akira watched the group with a slight laugh as he felt something he hadn't felt in a long time.

Affinity.

Akira finally found a place where he belonged.

And for that reason, he would cherish this memory for the rest of his life.

"That was fun! We should do this again!" Ann smiled as the group began to split ways.

"Defiantly! I had a blast!" Yuuen smiled cheerfully, she had never been out with friends beside Makoto before. Tonight was one of the best days of her life. "Thank you so much for inviting me!"

"It's not a problem," Akira said pushing up his glasses, somewhat of a nervous habit of his.

"Yeah, we loved having you there!" Ryuji smiled making Yuuen smile back at her.

"I'm so happy to hear that," Yuuen commented genuinely smiling at Ryuji.

For some odd reason, he felt his heart pick up just a little bit at that.

"Y-yeah." He stuttered unintentionally, scratching the back of his head.

"Well, I'll see you guys later, I've gotta' go." Ann waved turning off in her own direction, Ryuji following suit.

"See ya!" Ryuji waved heading to his place leaving Akira, Yuuen and the sleeping cat alone.

The two stared at each other for a bit.

They knew they had to part ways but it was kind of odd to leave it at that.

"I really liked having you there," Akira said shoving his hands into his pockets, unable to make eye contact.

Yuuen gave an awkward hum in response.

"Well, I guess I've gotta go." Akira said looking away with an odd blush on his face, Yuuen just hummed in response.

"See ya..." Akira waved walking in his own direction, greatly unsatisfied.

"Yeah... S-see ya." Yuuen nodded awkwardly.

She didn't understand what came over her, normally she's just fine around Akira but after tonight she could barely formulate proper words.

Her heart felt like it was running a marathon and her legs were shaking in what she presumed to be fear.

She decided to turn around, rubbing it off at just fun-night jitters.

Akira watched one last time as she left, letting a held in sigh slip off.

"Just "See ya"? What kind of flirting is that?!" Morgana lectured making Akira jolt in shock.

"F-flirting?! I wasn't flirting!" Akira defended looking at the cat who glared at him from within his bag.

"Yeah right,  I see the way you look at her." Morgana rolled his eyes.

"I thought you were asleep," Akira said with a sharp tone but didn't make eye contact with the cat.

"I was, but your awkward rambling woke me up." Morgana retorting earning a raised brow from Akira.

"Yeah right, cat." Akira smiled a bit.

"I'm not a cat! I'm M.O.R.G.A.N.A!!!!" He hissed.

Crappy chapter but I didn't really know what to do with it because the plot is hard. I have a great idea for the next chapter tho so it will be very good.
