She came in the front door silently. She was at her friend's house today to help her set her new house. He said that he will come late so she spent whole day there. She wanted to surprise hug him as his punishment was ending tomorrow but she decided that today is also good to end the punishment. She removed her footwear and walked towards the bedroom. He liked to use his laptop while lying on the bed. She caught a glimpse of the kitchen. He was sitting at the counter with his back towards her. Her lips smiled. She snuck up on him slowly. He had a plate of rice in front of him but was not eating. She came close to him and he said
"You are home."
She jumped on him and hugged him from behind. Her arms wrapped him from behind and her lips touched his cheeks uncontrollably. He placed his hand on her cheek. She said
"How did you know?"
"Your perfume..... I remember this smell."
She laughed then left him. She walked around and poured a glass of water. She drank it while standing. She turned around and almost spat the water out. He was sitting with his left eye completely black. It was bruised. His eye was almost closed and he was sitting silently. She opened her mouth and he said
"Before you say anything, it was an accident."
She came to him and put her hands around his face. She was looking at the eye and trying to understand what happened. She asked
"What happened?"
"Accident."
"Are you ok?"
"I am fine, do not worry."
"How did it happen?"
He laughed a little. She knew there was something which she will not like but she asked again
"You took anything for it?"
"Yes, I took medicine. Do not worry."
"How can I not be worried? look at your eye. What happened?"
He pointed at the chair. Indeed this was something that she will not like. She sat but her eyes were still fixed on his black eyes. Her face was showing a lot of worry. His face showed that he is trying to put sentences together. Finally, he said
"You know that I am not a fool."
"What happened?"
Her tone was angry. She was sure that he did something which she told him not to.
"Well, today was a mma class in the gym."
Her mind blew. She specially told him not to join mma because of the exact reason which he had on his face. It was too dangerous. He acts like a child sometimes. She said
"I requested you not to join it."
"I did not, I did not."
"Then?"
"Well, Kind of I did."
His face showed a embarrassing smile. She looked at his eye with worry. She did not know what to say to him and either she should take care of his eye first or scold him. He was just sitting on the counter with his eye black and a smile. She took a deep breath.
"Why?"
"Because may be it is a good field for me."
"How long?"
"Only three days. I joined three days ago."
"That is why all that body pain and slow movements?"
He was acting strange in the last days. He could not walk properly or at normal speed and same went for everything else. She noticed it and thought may be he added weight in the gym. It was normal for bodybuilders to get body pain when adding weight.
"Yeah, It is very tiring and I can not even move after the session."
"That is why I told you sweetie. Do not join this. It is dangerous and tiring and what if something happen to you?"
She was worried. He said
"Nothing will happen sugar."
She looked at his eye. He understood.
"This was an accident. We were training for leg grapples and my partner's knee hit me."
"Does it hurt?"
"No. It did in the start but not now."
"Sure?"
"Yup."
She looked at his plate. Rice looked like they were not even touched. She asked
"Why are you not eating?"
"I can not lift my hands up."
He laughed and that made her laugh too. He acts like a child sometimes.
"Why?"
"Grappling require a lot of forearm strength. My wrists hurt a lot when I try to even grab the spoon."
She looked at him with love. He was sitting with the most innocent expressions on his face. She grabbed the spoon and put rice in front of his face. He lifted his eye brow.
"You can not eat so I have to feed you."
"Did you eat?"
"Yes, I had dinner with my friend."
He opened his mouth and started eating. She was looking at his eye again and again. He noticed it and said
"Do not worry baby girl. It doesn't hurt."
"But your wrists does."
"Only in the beginning. Then my body will get use to it."
She sighed and continued to feed him. After sometime, she asked
"Any place else which hurts?"
"Everywhere."
"What do you mean?"
"My legs, my arms, my shoulders, my thighs, my abdomen, my back and my wings."
What to do with him, she did not know. She loved him and he did this to himself. She was noticing it for past days that he was not walking properly and lifting things was a little hard for him. She said
"Then you say that I get angry on you. Why would you do something like this?"
He laughed. She finished feeding him and put the plate and spoon in the sink. He got up and walked slowly to drink some water. She starting washing the dishes. He went to bedroom. She finished washing the dishes and went to bedroom. Lights were off so she knew that he will be in bed. She slowly came to the bed and lied beside him. She slowly slipped to his side and touched him. After sometime, she turned on her side and said
"It doesn't hurt na? the eye?"
His voice came to her in the dark
"It is just a mark, it did when I got hit but now it is just a mark."
She took breath of relief and kissed him on the lips. Taste of his lips spread over her lips. He said
"Wasn't I on punishment?"
"You were."
"Then?"
"You didn't have any dessert after the dinner. so here it is."
He laughed and she felt herself blushing in the dark.
