"Hey! We really need to talk!" Seth called to my back as I walked through the parking garage, heading into work. Wow he's early. He's on time. I smiled and ignored him as he began a jog to catch up with me. "Cala!" he met me at the front lobby door, holding it open for me. I didn't look in his direction or even pretended he was alive. No. If I do that--I'll get mad and right now I'm happy as happy can be. "I didn't know you would be there! She asked me last minute and I agreed to accompany her. She means absolutely nothing to me Cala." he followed me into the building.

"Good morning, Mrs. Carlin." I sang.

"Good morning, sweetie. How's life treating you today?"

"Oh, wonderfully and you?"

"Hey, I can't complain. He woke me up this morning, put a hot plate in front me and got me to work."

"Amen!" I praised while hitting up on the elevator as Seth stood beside me waiting to be acknowledged. The elevator opened and we both stepped in. I knew ignoring him all day would be impossible since I'll be in Trauma today. I rolled my eyes at the thought. He was quiet for the moment and appeared to be doing some serious thinking.

"Ok, Cala." he stepped closer to me prompting me to slide over frowning at him. I clenched my fists. He was interrupting my happy. "I'm sorry."

"For what?" I questioned frankly, stepping off the elevator and onto the unit.

"For last night. For not considering how you felt. I was so mad at seeing you with Yazid, that I didn't think of how you felt seeing me with Ambrosia."

"I don't care." I kept my eyes forward and my face expressionless.

"You're acting like you care."

I sat my bag on the desk and turned to face him. My eyes lit up as I watched Ethan near us from behind Seth. "Well I don't." I smiled. Seth caught my gaze turning to see Ethan. His face distorted with pure confusion and animosity. Ethan stepped in front of Seth-- scooping me up for a firm hug and kiss. I really don't want Ethan thinking we've gotten back together after one night, but I really wanted Seth to look the way he was looking right then.

"Have I told you, you're beautiful?" Ethan asked looking up into my eyes. Gifting me with his happy dimples. I was in love and there was no denying it.

"You have."

"I have a total of four more meetings up there. I plan on finishing up at 1300. Will that be too late for lunch?" Ethan asked. I held onto his shoulders only wanting to devour him in the middle of the trauma unit.

"That will be perfect. I'll plan on being finished at one for lunch with you." my coils fell over into my face and he gently brushed them back. He looked at me like he had been wanting to for so very long. My heart was in regular rate and rhythm while in his arms. My lungs were clear and equal bilaterally with normal effort. I was in complete homeostasis. Ethan lowered me to my feet unable to take his eyes off me. He shook his head.

"11:30."

"Ok...11:30" we agreed and he leaned into me for another soul warming kiss.

"Meetings..." he pouted while rolling his eyes--reluctant of releasing my hand before letting go and snapping his fingers disappointedly. He turned to see Seth watching us in a fury. "Doctor.....Stevens right?"

Seth straightened his stance in front of Ethan. They were eye level. He nodded once. "I'm glad you know me, I've heard all about you." he shot me a look that could kill. Ethan turned his head slightly as if he was about to look at me. Oh! Sinus tachycardia!

"Your name tag is faded. I don't know you, but I do recall forcing you into a crash cart."

Seth smiled pleasantly as Ethan walked off unscaved. I watched Seth's thoughts out loud read across like huge cue cards.
