Chapter 7: Birthday Girl

Terrence POV

Today is Leilani's birthday she's turning seven. I have the whole day planned at about 12 i'll go pickup Taraji then we're going to go to Disneyland then out to eat, I know sounds cliche a bit but it's where Leilani wants to go since she has never been and Tasha doesn't really take her out much. So now all I have to do is go wake up the birthday girl she was a little sad last night because Taraji had to go home so with that being said lets go wake up the angel so I can see my baby I smiled as I thought about the fun we are going to have at Disneyland I went up my stairs to Leilani's room. I walked in and she was already up and was making up her bed when she saw me she sat on her bed and smiled at me I laughed "You're ready to go hmm?" I asked she nodded she all ready had a bath and everything ITS 9:00AM!!. I sat in her bed "So how do you feel about today are you excited?" I asked well I already knew that but I just wanted to she her jump around and cheer which she did "YES!!" She kept screaming jumping up and and down I laughed and she ran to hug me "Thanks for doing this for my Uncle T." She said I smiled "No thank you for letting me spend your birthday with you." I stated she smiled and gave me a big hug then I heard her stomach growl "Well let's go downstairs and have so food huh?" I asked her she nodded as we were walking downstairs I wondered "How long have you been up?" I asked she looked away "I've been up since 8." She said I nodded and went in the kitchen to start breakfast.

Taraji  POV

I woke up to the sun beaming on my face I sat up in my bed and yawned, I grabbed my phone and texted Terrence good morning and that he didn't have to come get since I wanted to drive. Then I got up to get ready for today but before I even made it to my bathroom I heard my doorbell ring I huffed and went to answer it but not before looking through the peephole and I saw that it was Ashunta and Jason I smiled and opened the door they hugged me and walked in "Hey girl do you plan on going somewhere today." Ashunta asked, I nodded they huffed "Let me guess you going out with that light bright." Jason said I laughed "Yeah it's his niece birthday today and she wants to spend it with me and him." I said trying not to smile they nodded "Hmm and you've met the family seems like things are getting serious." Jason said "Yeah it is you know I can't remember the last time I was this happy." I said they nodded and went back in my room to which they followed me of course I smirked as I made my way into my bathroom Ashunta sat on the toilet set and Jason was in  my room laying on my bed. I undressed and stepped in the shower while I was in the shower we talked you know about relationships and things about about 30 minutes I was out and ready to go but as I was putting on my lipstick and then they asked a question I was hoping they wouldn't ask "So exactly how did it go with meeting the family?" Jason asked I huffed "I said it was ok." I stated they scoffed I sighed "Ok it was alright  but the sister is a real bitch and she seems to think that I want Terrence only for his money. And the parents are ok but they seem like their hiding something very serious and I do intend to find out I don't even think that Terrence knows." I confessed they looked like they were shocked "Damn I would have never guessed that were like that but anyways if that bitch try some other shit call us cuz I don't give a fuck if you are a Howard you fuck wit mine I fuck UP your's." Jason said to which Ashunta agreed I laughed and grabbed my purse "You so stupid I'll see y'all tomorrow I love y'all." I said while hugging them and giving them a spare key before leaving since I won't be staying here tonight and I trust the completely we grew up together we were all their when we choose our careers Jason fashion, me modeling, and Ashunta makeup and hair and I'm so proud of them. And while I'm on my way to my car I started thinking of our past adventures "We were some bad ass kids." I said while chuckling. I entered my car turned on the radio as well as the AC cuz it's hot as hell today then I made my way to Terence's house.

Tasha's POV

Today is that Leilani birthday I honestly don't even know how old she is turning and I don't really care but anyways my mom and dad are here also to talk I don't what about but I think I know why. Then they walked in and sat down a stared at me "What?" I asked "Where's that boyfriend of yours?" My dad asked "Gone now what did y'all what talk about?" I asked they let out a nervous sigh "Did you tell Terrence?" She asked I shrugged and acted like I didn't know what she was talking about. She scoffed "You know what I'm talking abou-OK FINE! yes I did ask that bitch if she was after Terrence for his money." I finished still playing dumb she shook her head chuckling  "No and it's not your place to say anything about who he dating so you need to step back and worry about your own life. And further more Mira was after him for his money when are you going to let the divorce shit go Tasha get this through your thick head ok: MIRA WAS A HOE AND FUCKED DIFFERENT MEN EVERYDAY Damn! I need some air cuz I'm just sick of hearing you yammer on about someone's else life. And by the way Taraji seems like a nice young lady." She let out then let out, I sat their shocked she never yelled at us like that she was always calm even while giving us a whoopin. I looked at my dad who didn't really care that she just went off like that "Dad what do she mean? Did I tell Terrence?" I asked he got up and walked to get their coats then he came back to the living room "You know what so stop playing dumb you need to tell him he deserves to know." He said not even looking at me he made his way to the front door but just before he opened it " I thought I raised you better than this if you don't tell him we will stop doing everything that we do for you and your going to have to get a job to support you and my grandbaby." He said before leaving I sighed trying so hard not to cry not about my mom but my dad I can't get a job I  guess I have to tell him I grabbed my phone to call someone damn my plan is messing up.

Tasha- Hello
Mira- Yeah what's up?
Tasha- My mom dad know and they want me to tell Terrence.
Mira- Fuck, that's going to fuck up the plan
Tasha- I know what should I do can you need to come over so we can discuss a plan cause my dad said that if I don't tell Terrence the truth I'm going to be in my own .
Mira- alright ill be there in 30 minutes.

I hung up the phone and sat on my couch to think about what I'm going to do.

Terrence POV
Terrence House
9:00 PM

We just got home from the restaurant Leilani is sleep in my bed and so is Taraji they crashed as soon as they changed and laid down. And quite frankly I'm sleepy to and as I was about to go to sleep I received a text from my mom that said "I have to tell you something very serious can you come to the house tomorrow so we can discuss." I sighed but agreed because I love my mom and I feared that she was in trouble. So I put my phone down cuddled up with Taraji and fell into a much needed sleep.
