"So, Hoseok...er..I'm asking this for a friend. Can you help me with some advice?"

It was a Sunday and when we don't have preschool or café duty, we were required to be at the police station.

"So, I have this friend. And he's never been in a relationship. And he's finally found someone he likes. But he's really bad at courtship. So, umm...what's he gotta do?"

"What am I? Some magazine column? How do I know? Google it or something."
Hoseok snaps back at me.

"Well the thing is..he's gay.
You're gay. So, I thought you could help a fellow gay comrade."

Hoseok puts his cup noodles down.
"Hmmmmm...ok, fine. So, what's the guy like? What kind of acquaintances are they? Close or nah?"

"Well...erm.. my friend is also a teacher like me. And..and.. the guy he likes is..uh..a parent...of one of his students."

Hoseok looks at me with his mouth open.

"Wow... that certainly doesn't sound like someone I know."

"Yeah, he works at the school too. He's kinda cool."
I shrug.

"So, when did you start liking Seokjin?"

"WHAT?! SEOKJIN? WHO DAT? No..psshhh..it's not him. My friend likes someone else. Not Seokjin."

"Hmm...too bad. Would have been easy if it was Seokjin since I know a ton about him now and all."

Hoseok is a smart...ass.

"Ok, fine. I liked him from Day 1."

"Day 1 as in what was it exactly? When you shoved your crotch in his face or when he grabbed your ass cheeks back? Which was it that awakened your gay cells, my dude?"
Hoseok cackled loudly.

I groan. Why is he my only option to ask around?

"So, can you help me or not?"

He swings an arm around my neck tightly and grins.

"Of course. I'll help you, my dear fellow gay compadré...
Trust me, they don't call me Hoe-seok at the clubs for nothin. You just gotta follow everything I say, got it?
You're in goooood hands now..."

But am I really?

So, the plan is simple.

"Get drunk. That's it."

Hoseok said and he shrugged.

"Getting drunk is the easiest way to get nasty and move 20 steps forward without too much effort. Don't you read all those BL manhwas? You like-like, you get drunk, you do the nasty and you get awkward with each other for a bit buuuuttttt then you can't stay apart for too long so you do the nasty again and voila...you're a couple. As simple as that."

"But...that is..well isn't exactly what I had in mind. I don't want to jump on Seokjin just like that-"

"Seokjin is the one who's gonna do the jumping.
Just get him drunk and come back to the apartment and his thirsty, deprived-for-4-whole-years drunk ass will do the rest.
Just trusssst me, will ya?"
