Your POV:

Trying to contain this wild Australian known as Kyle Smith was a challenge. After becoming his friend/guardian after the encounter at the Twelve Apostles. He has an unlimited amount of energy, something you thought you wouldn't be able to keep up with. But surprisingly, he was kind enough to tone it down at times just for you. 

You two would surf, play cricket, caravaned, and fish together. 

Lately, you noticed something off about him. He'd doze off into a haze from time to time. In deep thought out of nowhere. It definitely wasn't part of his nature. 

Right now, you were helping him take care of baby koalas at a wildlife center. They were crawling all around you and you couldn't be anymore happier. Without your acknowledgment, Kyle delightedly observed you and the koalas. Smiling to himself. You laugh and catch his gaze. A blush appeared on his face, quickly walking to a different tree to gather food for them. You titled your head in confusion.
