Multiple meetups for tea later turned into something far more special. And by that, I mean a loving friendship! Thinking that Yao was very mature was an overstatement. He was actually a child at heart and you loved it.

You and he would hang out almost every day of the week. You two would practice tai chi, do calligraphy, fly kites, and play mahjong. Each day offered an exciting new event. 

But recently, Yao has been decreasing in amusement when you two would be together. As his mind would be in a faraway land, thinking of the impossible. You thought it was perhaps a midlife crisis? Whatever it was, it worried you more than you could imagine. You tried your best to lighten his mood, but he told you it was nothing and that it happens from time to time.
