Denied And Unnoticed

CHAPTER 12

Catherine POV

Two weeks had passed after Terrence started coming to school again and I was suddenly in happy moods after seeing him

He was no longer sad, he was actually fine and I was glad that he was doing okay

The confidence that I gathered to talk to him back then well left me

I went back to admiring and drooling over him from afar

It pained me that he was interested in Aimee, a girl who wasn't going to return his feelings

She was really a dummy not seeing what she had

I secretly wanted her to continue, maybe I could get a chance with him someday

It was Sports period and everyone was going to change into sports attire

All of the sudden I had butterflies in my tummy by just thinking that I'll be seeing Terrence just a few minutes from now

I packed my books and took my sports attire which was a white shirt and white shorts that reached just above my knees nothing too attractive

Since we were always in uniform, sports period was the only time people would show off their clothes and bodies

The period I see things, sports period was literally drooling time for boys

I reached the girl's locker room and changed leaving my uniform in my locker and headed towards the ground to join the rest of my classmates and form 2 students

We all started jogging non-stop and I tell you I was already tired after 30 seconds

We had a long way to go and I was already tired

I was exhausted as I sat down immediately the coach said that we should rest, I was surprised to see others still energetic

Doing other low key exercises while others continued to jog

Where are they getting the energy from

I wasn't in the mood of wasting my energy today, I barely ate the whole day and I was in energy saving mode, mom hadn't been paid yet

I was sitting down worried and silently whining about my lost energy when I saw a certain hot someone approach a group of girls

Terrence

He talked to Aimee and left after a while going towards the direction of where the boys sat all together

Aimee was one lucky girl I'll say it again, I wish I was her but odds were really against me

Honestly, you don't wish you was her

Okay okay maybe I didn't want to be her but she was lucky to actually get Terrence's attention

I heard the the coach whistle and called all the girls so we could be given positions and practice netball

"Alright today I won't mix you up, it'll be form 1 against form 2" he shouted for all of us to hear

Prrrrr he whistled again "come on let's go" he clapped his hand

We all went in position and started playing

I was no where near okay when the first sport period was over ...I lost too much energy and not eating made it even worse

My stomach was continuously grumbling and I was feeling lightheaded

When we were finally done, I went to change back into my uniform and planned to go to class to get my bag so I could go to the library, take a look at a few books to distract the hunger

I reached my class and got my bag. As I was about to exit I felt my phone buzz in my bag

I went to the toilets immediately to check who texted or was trying to call me, I took my phone and it showed that I received two messages the first one from Airtemoney and the other from mom

I furrowed my eyebrows confused about who sent me money, I decided to open my mom's message first

That brightened my face instantly, I was so happy to know I was going to eat a few minutes from now, I was so hungry and my tummy took that moment to growl again

I checked the second message obviously knowing what it'd say

I did a victory dance and left the toilet heading straight to the cafe to buy a hotdog and a juice box

Washing my hands on one of the sinks, I walked to the counter to buy the food, I happily walked to my usual seat and sat down

I took out my drinking bottle and put the juice inside and left the empty juice box on the table

I ate the food with gusto and left some for lunch time, I was soooo relieved and gained a little energy to do school

I put the juice box in the trash on my way out and headed to the library to look for books and study

"Trrrrrrr" the bell rang

That meant the second sport period was over and it was time for the last period of class before lunch

I took my bag from where we keep the bags and gathered the books I borrowed in my hands

In a hurry, I left the library and made my way to my class

I was walking in a hurry not clearly seeing where my legs were taking me when I bumped into someone causing all my books flying down

Shucks

"I'm sorry I'm sorry" I said kneeling down to pick them up

The person I bumped into squatted down "it's okay it was my fault too, I wasn't looking sorry" he said

I immediately froze the moment I heard the person's voice

My head swiftly turned up not believing it could actually be him, but it was, it was really him

Terrence

"U-u-u-mm nonononono it's okay"

I looked down and started gathering the books quickly with my now shaky hands, to my surprise he helped me

We stood up and I looked at him, my heart beat rapidly in my chest when I locked eyes with him

He gave me the books he gathered and I took them mumbling a thanks in return

I kept looking at him cherishing every second of it and surprisingly he was looking at me too

Weird very weird

His gaze made my heartbeat increase and I held my books tight to my chest afraid he'd hear it

Somebody passed us and we came to our senses

"Umm I'll go now" I said awkwardly and left quickly entering my class

Warmness flooded my heart, as I relived what just happened a few seconds ago. I smiled to myself as I took out my notebook and pens

I guess today was my lucky day
