CHAPTER 14

Terrence POV

Aimee avoided me that week, she thought I'd ask her why she didn't show up

I was disappointed but not really much because part of me expected that she would pull that stunt again

I've observed that she probably doesn't like me, maybe because of what she thinks I am which I'm very much far from it

Even though I was slowly losing interest, that didn't make me lose hope to get her, to get love, to get somebody who'd look at me the way mom looks at dad, to get somebody who cares for me

I understand everyone had baggage and I guess Aimee's baggage was her character, people change and I'm sure she'd change at some point

I won't lose hope

I just hope she's the one

Or maybe I'm looking for the right things in the wrong person

Aimee would change ways or look the other way when I was coming towards her, she avoided me like a pandemic virus

At some point her behavior got me asking myself if this was how the chase was supposed to be, why was I acting this way

I've never been like this all my life and to do that for a girl, I guess love made people do crazy things

It was Monday and I had loaded up some courage after mom advised me again

Flashback

"She sounds like a spoiled kid, if you like her then there's nothing I can do, the only advise I can give you is that she might not be good for you ...I didn't raise no loser if you're looking for love then man up, find it and go get it"

I didn't like the first part so I grabbed what she said at the end

My love was Aimee, I had found her already and I was going to get her

I smiled and hugged her

"You're the best mom" I smiled

"But not a word to Teresa or Daddy...this stays between us okay ...we might get in trouble" she said chuckling nervous

I broke the hug

"I promise I won't" I smiled

Tears flowed down her eyes smiling and I was confused all of the sudden, why was she suddenly crying

Did I say something wrong?

"Mom what's wrong"

"Nothing" she sniffed "its just that you've grown so fast" she said wiping her tears

End of flashback

I was going to speak to her again, make her at least notice me or get her attention

It was sports time and we were set to practice with the form 1 students as usual

We first jogged hundred meters before everyone decided to rest on the field, most of the girls sat down and I took that opportunity to look for Aimee's group

I soon saw them just a few feet away from me so I approached them

"Hey Aimee" I said

"Ugh" I heard her mumble "hi"

"I-"

"Couldn't come to your party sorry I was busy" she said without guilt

"It's okay can we talk sometime" I said
