Denied And Unnoticed

CHAPTER 18

Catherine POV

Days passed after mom allowed me to start the babysitting business, so far I had no calls lately but I put the advert posters all across town and almost everywhere

Maybe they never called because I notified them that I was a student

How reasonable

I hoped somebody called me during the weekends but I got none

I sighed

Things were going horrible for me, 1. no calls, we were running short on food, mom would buy but it wasn't enough

Plus I wanted her to have money to spend on herself

2. Terrence all of the sudden started hanging out with Aimee, something I never saw coming

I was kind of rooting for her ignoring and denying him like she normally did but everything went down south rapidly

I heard he even visited her home quite frequently and I saw her with him almost everywhere he went

Couldn't help it, I was so jealous of them, so much I started avoiding him whenever he was close. I know he didn't notice it because we weren't friends but still

I felt hurt seeing him and knowing he belonged to another, to someone he liked

It was Mathematics time and Mr Chad said we'd mix up with the form two's and teach us algebra together

Just great

According to him we weren't getting it well so he needed us to mix up with our friends and form groups so we could discuss

"Alright class the hall has a desk with four chairs each ...every two of you will seat on each and leave the other two for the form two students... Alright?"

I shook my head as the class answered yes sir in unison

Here I was avoiding a certain person and Mr Chad went ahead to make things even more difficult for me

I internally rolled my eyes

It was a whole big class right? I was going to avoid him just like I was doing

"In line everyone and go to the hall silently"

Mr Chad went out of our class going to form 2 and everyone stood up and made a line going to the hall, we all sat like our teacher told us and waited for the other class to come

I sat there silently, hoping not to see him or sit near him at least

The form two class entered 5 minutes later and sat at the places where they felt comfortable

In the midst of everyone I saw Terrence, my heart skipped a beat and I felt annoyed for acting this way

It looked like he hadn't found a place yet

He was looking for a vacant seat and his eyes met mine causing me to look away

I took my book and started flipping pages looking for chapter 6

"Alright since everyone is settled ...turn to page 163"

I put my arms on the table waiting for everyone to find the page I had already found

I looked at my group partners and internally frowned when I found out one of them was none other than

Terrence himself

I sighed

Why? Why me?

Mr Chad soon started teaching us and gave us group work to discuss
