"Make sure you leave on time for school" my mom says opening the front door ready to walk out

"I will, you say the same shit to me everyday" I shrug standing at the front door with her

"I know but I'm just reminding you, and also I won't be home straight away later I'm going over to Diana's house once I finish work to help her with something and make sure she's okay " she says grabbing her car keys out of her purse

"Okay" I mumble closing the door once she had left, I then grabbed my phone out of my sweatpants pocket to text Jaya

Me: My mom has just left come over

Me: yeah, bring a rubber

Apart from ski, Jaya is my best friend. She moved here when she was 13, 5 years ago. She lives right next door so if I look out my bedroom window I can see into her room, when we was both 14 that's when we started to get curious and ended up exploring our bodies with eachother since we both have never been in a relationship because Im a "weird" nigga and she's just very quiet and anxious around other people and that takes us to where we're at now.

We've been constantly having sex with eachother for 3 years and nobody knows apart from us, not even ski. Her mom is Diana, my mom and her mom have been friends for longer then we've been alive so when they moved next door I had no choice but to make friends with Jaya

Recently she hasn't been very happy, because her dad has been abusing her mom that's why my mom tries to help them out as much as she can because we have everything easier then they do, the abuse got so bad that her mom can't go to work because she's injured and around that time Jaya started getting really suicidal but her mom couldn't pay the medical bills so we paid them for her so she could get antidepressants.

I hear the door knock so I go and open it and there she stands, her curly hair all over her face she's wearing a T-shirt that's too big for her and sweatpants that are also too big for her with slides and she has a lighter in one hand and a condom in the other

"N-no uh no he didn't touch or hit me" she says looking away inhaling the blunt again "he just started smashing stuff" I look at her as smoke spills from her mouth
