Raid's Short Poems

ASSUMPTION

One person caught my attention,
The one who I always mention.
Everyday I think about him,
Him liking me, impossible it would seem.

Then one day we met up,
He talked to me for a while.
My heart beats fast and it won't stop,
I just listen to him and smile.

He asked me out on a date,
Of course I agreed to avoid being too late.
We went to a beautiful garden,
It was then I felt I was already taken.

Time went by when I decided,
I had to confess what I'm feeling.
His answer was so unexpected,
He said, "We're only friends, don't give it a meaning."
