Chapter 24

The rest of the week passed very much the same as the first day. I had got much quicker as doing the necessary jobs, I really hoped Hunter would give me some insight into what he does rather than just being a secretary. I knocked on Hunters door.

"Come in" I smiled as I entered and placed a coffee in front of him.

"I wanted to ask you something sir" I had respected the new professional bounderies and refrained from calling him Hunter in the work place.

"Bella I've told you before you don't need to call me sir or Mr Anderson unless we are with a client" he rolled his eyes and turned his chair to face me. "What is it?" I knew he was going to say it but I wanted to keep it professional anyway. He was different in work mode so I should be too.

"Oh I just wondered if I could leave a bit earlier today"

"What for?" His hard eyes bore into mine.

"Sam found a few houses he wants me to see"

"No" his reply was instant as he looked back at his pc screen dismissing me.

I felt myself getting angry it wasn't even like it was busy today the phone hardly rang.

"Why? It's not really that busy"

"Because I said so end of discussion"

I was fuming but I wanted to keep myself in check so I redfaced turned to leave.

"Oh and I have a dinner meeting later can you book a table at a local restaurant you know the posh type"

"Ok" I forced it to not sound angry as I left. I really thought I'd be able to at least get some further experience maybe I will ask him but he didn't seem In a good mood today. I realised he had changed a lot since I last saw him.

The work was all finished so I sat waiting for phone to ring and that it did but I could tell it was coming from accounting.
"Bella sweetie can you tell Hunter that I'm leaving now" Penny's voice went through the phone.

"His in his office can't you do it yourself" I snapped.

Penny looked taken aback by my anger "oh I'm sorry I didn't mean it to come across like that" I flushed "I just-"

"It's cool I get it this can be stressful working here" she shrugged. "I would but I really gotta rush to get off to my hairdressers appointment as I'm running late thanks"  the line went dead.

I groaned as I made my way into his office pissed off even more now.

"Hunter" I spoke as I stoped In front of his desk.

"Bella?" He crosses his arms and lent back in his large chair. If he was surprised I wasn't calling him Sir or Mr Anderson he didn't show it.

"I'm just here to inform you that Penny has left to go to her very important hair appointment"

"Ok" he turned back to his work after a few minutes he lifted his eyes to mine "was there anything else?"

"Yes actually why can she go to a stupid hair appointment and take the whole afternoon when I couldn't leave even an hour early" I signally snapped.

Hunter raised his eyebrow at me "becuase I said so" he kept calm but shocked at my out burst.

"Hunter I've known you since you picked your fucking nose, don't think you can just push me around or treat me unfairly" I frowned.
