"It's okay." Peter whispered as he pulled Edmund into his arms, pulling him close and kissing the top of his head.
Edmund's hand was placed flat over his cheek, his eyes squeezed shut as tears rolled down his face. Sniffing he buried his face into Peter's chest, wrapping one arm around his back.
"Everything's gonna be fine." Peter choked quietly.
After a while Edmund slowly pulled away, only now moving his hand from his cheek. "How am I supposed to kill her now?" He asked almost desperately.
Peter sighed, and couldn't help but glance at his brothers cheek, only to find it bright red. "I don't know Ed." He mumbled. "Other question is, why is she gonna keep us here for a few days?"
Edmund bit his lip. "So I'm not a threat anymore." He said quietly. "Cause in a couple of days there'll be no way I'll be able to kill her, not with how weak I'll be."
Peter sighed, placing a hand gently on Edmund's shoulder. "We'll get out of here, I promise." He said.
"How?" Edmund exclaimed.
Peter took a deep breath as he stood and walked over to the door. Hesitating slightly he gave it a hard shake, but it held fast. After a short pause he gave it a kick, but all it did was rattle rather loudly.
"Peter please stop." Edmund said quickly. "Otherwise she's gonna come down here."
Peter turned around and gave his brother a sad look. "Sorry." He mumbled as he walked over and sat beside Edmund.
"Think." He mumbled to himself. And then his eyes went wide.
Edmund frowned at him as he pulled what looked like a hair pin from his boot. "Er, Pete?" He questioned, looking beyond confused.
"Susan." Peter said. "She gave it to me ages ago, says to always take it with you wherever you go."
"Why?" Edmund asked.
Peter smiled. "Because they're great for picking locks." He said before jumping to his feet again and running over to the door.
Reaching his hands through the bars he slotted the pin into the keyhole before twisting it around a bit.
"Is it working?" Edmund asked after a minute.
"Um-" Peter mumbled. "Hang on."
Edmund bit his lip as he waited, and waited and waited a bit more.
"I think I've just about-" He fell silent though when there was a quiet click and the door swung open.
Grinning to himself he turned back to Edmund, kneeling beside him. "Ready to get out of here?" He said.
Edmund nodded quickly. "Totally." He mumbled as Peter set about unlocking the shackles around his ankles.
Once they fell lose he stood, Peter following. "Come on then." He said, but the second he turned around he froze.
"And where do you think you two are going?"
Peter stared at the witch, pushing Edmund behind him. "We're leaving." Peter said firmly.
"I don't think so." Jadis said, an unimpressed look on her face. "Pin." She ordered, holding out her hand.
Peter frowned a little but hesitantly gave it to her, not wanting Edmund or him to get hurt or something.
"And next time you try and escape." The witch said as she snatched the hair pin from Peter. "Keep the noise down. You'll find it helps with not getting caught."
Peter swallowed hard, feeling Edmund's hand land on his back and heard him step closer.
Jaids smirked at them for a moment before clicking her fingers. The second she did a minotaur marched into the room and walked over to Peter.
Before he could stop it, Peter was grabbed and pulled away from Edmund to the corner of the cell, where he was held, struggling to get away.
Jaids laughed at him before turning to Edmund and walking towards him.
Edmund took a step back, followed by another and then another until his back touched the icy wall.
Jadis smirked at him as she stopped barely two steps in front of him. "Trying to escape comes with a punishment." She said quietly.
Peter's eyes went wide. "No!" He shouted. "It was my idea, punish me!"
Jadis laughed. "Oh no." She said, shaking her head.
"Please." Peter said, tears in his eyes. "Don't hurt him."
Jadis said nothing but just grabbed Edmund's arm, pulling him away from the wall. "See you later Peter." She laughed before forcing Edmund out of the cell.
"Edmund!" Peter screamed.
Edmund let out a sob as he struggled against Jadis' grip. "Peter!" He sobbed.
"Ed!" Peter called as Edmund was pulled out of the cell.
The next thing he knew he was pushed roughly to the floor before the minotaur left the cell, locking the door behind him.
Struggling to his feet Peter ran over to the door, grabbing the bars and giving the door a vicious shake. "Edmund!" He screamed.
He only just heard his name being called by Edmund before everything went silent.
Peter took a deep breath, once again trying to force the door open, but once again failing.
Running a hand over his face he turned sharply away from the door, walking back into the middle of the cell.
His heart was pounding in his chest as he waited, waited for his brother to come back.
After ten minutes he was really starting to worry. He couldn't imagine how scared Edmund must be right now, having been dragged off by the white witch to who knows where.
He was worried too, he already knew that Jadis would hurt his brother, and he couldn't do anything about it.
His head snapped up when an ear piercing scream echoed through what seemed like the whole castle. His eyes went wide. "Ed." He whispered before running back to the door, just as another scream reached his ears. "Edmund!" He shouted, shaking the door as hard as she could.
He waited and cringed when he heard his brother scream again.
"Stop it!" Peter screamed as loud as he could, tears rolling down his cheeks. "Leave him alone!"
But no matter how loud he shouted Edmund continued to scream.
After a while he sunk to the floor by the door, tears rolling down his cheeks as he covered his ears, trying his best to ignore his brothers screams.
