On a overcast day, birds flew through the air gliding in and out of sight, as a huge airplane broke through the clouds. Inside this jumbo jet, Continental Airlines 420 from Rome bound for Atlanta, Georgia; a beautiful young black woman seemed very busy browsing through files in one hand, and an IPAD in another. She was about nineteen years old, 125 pounds, luscious lips, flawless skin with long thick hair. If someone was watching her from a distance, they would have thought she was a supermodel, but this young woman wasn't. Eventually, she sighed and looked up from her work, leaning back to look out at the clouds outside of her window. Her thoughts wandered off to a park many, many years ago where she married the boy of her cousin's dreams. She smiled thinking of times gone by, when an image of her fiance' popped in her head.

Talia looked down at the three-carat emerald cut engagement ring that she had on her finger. She remembered the night her fiance' Justin gave it to her after they had visited the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. He wasn't coming with her to Atlanta, but he would be there shortly. Right now, Talia knew that she had a task at hand. She hadn't seen her cousin Avis in over seven years and she knew that her arrival would be a surprise and hard to adjust to. Talia took a sip of her wine from the table beside her seat and sipped it, still thinking about her youthful days with her cousin Avis and her adult days with her boyfriend, now fiance' Justin. A shrill ringing of the telephone interrupted her, and she realized the phone had just prevented her from falling asleep.

"Talia Prentice Devereux," she answered with a soft, but firm voice.

"Talia, where the hell are you and why are you not here in Atlanta?" The booming and strict voice on the other end asked.

"A simple hello, how are you would have been nice, Grandfather. I would have accepted anything but this." Talia replied sarcastically.

"First of all, it is morning here, and second of all, mine as you probably already know doesn't seem to be turning out to well. I expected you here at 8 a.m. Where are you?" Jared asked his granddaughter.

"Would you please calm down? I am on my way."

"We have business to attend to, young lady, and I don't have time to be waiting on you all day. Do you hear me?"

"Yes, Grandfather. But, let me set you straight here. You will have to wait a few more hours," Talia replied. "I won't make it to the first official board meeting of the new CEO, but you best believe, this day won't end the way he thinks it will. I'll call you when I am town." Talia finished and hung up the phone.

She smiled thinking of how her arrival was going to stir things up and remembered that was what she did best... cause drama.

It was a chilly, October morning in Atlanta, Georgia as two young business tycoons stepped out of a 2011 Candy Apple red Mustang. Both young men were dressed in earth toned business suits and ties with matching shoes. Avis held a briefcase, while Leslie just walked smoothly behind him.
