Chapter 10: Grandson of Hades

Heidi's POV

Kylie and I finish up our talk and walk back to campus, but the second that make it to the front of the school and open the doors a voice come from behind us, "Heidi? Where have you been young lady?" I turn around with a smirk on my face as my dad walks up to the two of us, "Hi dad, I am so sorry for missing our lunch date today, but a family member needed my help." Hades looks at me with narrow eyes, "Which side of your family?" I roll my eyes knowing that my mom and my dad have made peace but still don't like interacting with each other, "Believe it or not dad, it was a member from our side of the family." Hades straightens up with a curious look on his face. "Are Hadie and Henry okay?" Hades asks in a serious and concerned voice, and I nod my head and look over at Kylie who is frozen in place with a look of pure horror written on her face,

"What's wrong Kylie?" I ask and it gets the attention of my dad who turns his villainess attention to Kylie, "Another demigod." Kylie slowly moves behind me and I starting to think that she knows who this is, "Dad, how could have you possibly known that she was a demi god?" Hades lets out a chuckle as he glares at Kylie, "I can feel it, now which one of my conceited,pretentious, self-important, and stuck up niece or nephew does this one belong to?" I turn my back to my dad and look at Kylie, "You don't have to be scared Kylie, my dad is more bark then he bite these days, also you have me here by your side and I won't let anything happen to you." Kylie lets out a shaky breath nodding her head, 

"Dad this is Kylie, she is the daughter of Apollo." Kylie steps to the side of me and inclines her head, "I have heard a lot about you but most of it is bad." Hades lets out a laugh as he body starts to shake, "Happy to hear that those washed up old timers haven't forgotten about me." Kylie gives my dad a look of surprise that he would be okay with the other Gods talking about him like he is scum of the earth, but if you look at my dad's track record it is not hard to see why. "By the way how is Arroyo doing?"Kylie and I both look at each other then back to Hades, "Arroyo?" I ask which gets Hades to look at Kylie and I with the same look of confusion. "Neither of you know about Arroyo?" Kylie and I shake our heads and my dad quickly backtracks, "I must have been mistaken." I know right away that something isn't right here, and I am starting to get that same feeling I had when the mystery of Shay came to my attention.

"I will see you around Heidi, I have to meet up with Herkie and Pearl for studying." I nod my head giving Kylie a big hug before letting her go and she walks into the dorm building. 'Who is Arroyo dad?"I ask him crossing my arms over my chest and my dad mimics me, "You really aremy daughter." He laughs and he gives me a hug one that I return. We pull out of the hug and start walking to the Enchanted Lake I meeting up with Paul and Wenda, "Are you going to tell me or I am assuming that I have a half-brother this time?" Hades gives a serious look and shakes his head, "That isn't funny Heidi, I might not have been the best father in the world but I always claimed any kid of mine." I incline my head knowing that was true, my dad never shied away from his main responsibilities to his kids. 

"Then what is going on?" I ask stopping in my tracks, "That is not for me to reveal, but everything comes to light at one point or another." Hades gives me a kiss on my forehead as the two of us start walking again. We arrive at the Enchanted Lake where we find Paul flipping off rocks and swimming, while Wenda is sitting nearby with Henry who is splashing around the water with his hands, "Are you sure about this?" Hades asks as I walk towards the three of them, "I think it is time that you met your wonderful and talented grandson, but just to be on the safe side I made sure we were at the Enchanted Lake and that there are more people than just me around." I grad my dad's hand leading him over to the other three.

"You keeping doing that Paul and you are going to have a repeat of that story you told me about you trying to impress that mermaid." Paul's face turns red as he dives off a rock and into the water, but as we approach Wenda I see her tense up right away, "It's okay Wenda, I want him to be here." I smile as I see Henry look over at me and try to walk but he only ends up falling on his butt. I walk over to him and pick him up as he places his hand on cheek to communicate with me, "Daddy will be pick you up tonight baby boy, but right now there is someone that is very anxious to meet you." I point over to my dad who looks more nervous than I have ever seen him before, 

"Henry this is your grandpa Hades, Dad this is your grandson Henry." I introduce them as I walk over to my dad and out of the corner of my eye I see Paul jump out of the water and make his way close enough to me just in case something went wrong. My dad smiles at Henry who giggles and smiles right back opening his arms to Hades. "Looks like Henry already has as sense of who you are." Hades carefully takes Henry and I see Paul tense us but I put my hand up telling him to leave it alone. "This reminds me of holding Hadie and you when you are this age." I smile but a part of me will never fully forgive him for my childhood, but I am not that little girl anymore and he isn't the same villainess father that I grew up.

"I think it is time that you really got to know what my life is like here in Auradon dad." Hades smiles at me before turning his attention to Henry.
