Greetings,
I wanted to update you on our publishing progress and to give you a sneak peek of coming attractions. As you know, we're self-publishing our book in print and eBook. A hardcover book is not only costly, but very permanent, and we're doing our best to polish The Unseen Hand to a gleaming shine.
Many of the chapters have undergone additional edits, both grammatical and contextual. One character has switched gender, and many of the saucy scenes have been revised. We're also producing an audiobook in tandem with these edits, and it's coming out amazing. I can't wait to give you a sneak peek. We may even turn it into a podcast — more on this in a later update. When we received the hardcover (blank) book sample from the printer, we squealed with delight. Holding the book in our hands felt awesome! Check it out!!!
The cover, endpapers, and interior graphics are all done. The inspiration for the design came from the book's title and the card game of Thrarttas mentioned in the book. The symbolic and archaic card game dovetails very nicely with the overall theme of Fate holding all the cards.
Below is the design of the endpapers.
And here is the full jacket cover.
The chapter headers of the book will follow the progression of the Three Sisters through the sky. As the moons near the alignment, so do the graphics. These illustrations help keep time and give an accurate representation of the moon phases.
Are you thrilled yet? Good, cause this book is going to be gorgeous. As soon as the files go to press, the preorders will begin.
Thank you for continuing to read and comment! You guys are the best!
Cheers!
