"I know I've been an asshole to you over the years we've been together but I love you to death. I know I should've treated you better. I know that I don't deserve you, but our hearts won't allow us to permanently leave each other alone. Without you in my life, I'm nothing. With you, I'm complete. When you had enough of me fucking up, you showed me the pain I brought to you. I don't know another girl who's gonna put up with my bullshit and when she's had enough, she'll kick my ass." They laughed "So, Marianna, will you marry me?"
Marianna was speechless. She always dreamt of this day but she dreamt it would be a different man. One who actually loved her, never even thought about putting his hands on her, and the love was there. No pain, no stress, just happiness. She never thought Jordan would be proposing to her. Jordan isn't gonna go away no matter what the hell Marianna says or does. She really wasn't sure if she wanted to marry him or not. Pictures of they're past replayed in her head as she decided what her answer was gonna be. She knew that if she said No it would not only break his heart, but their child wouldn't have it's father. That's all she ever wanted.
"Yes." She finally answered. He smiled as he slipped the ring on her finger. Everybody was clapping. He kissed her stomach and then he stood up. He leaned down and they shared kissed. This kiss was different. It had more passion in it.
Marianna just started crying. She hates crying. He pulled her into a hug. He wrapped his arms around her waist. Soon, she felt his hands rubbing her back.
"I'm never letting you go, okay?" he whispered in her ear. "And I promise to protect you with my life."
She nodded. She finally believes this is real love. The love really is there. This is the beginning of their new life together. This is The Love She Always Wanted. The love she dreamt and hoped for since the first time Jordan hit her.
"Awww, I'm so happy for you guys." Nicole and Patrice said to Marianna and Jordan as they hugged them.
"Thank you." Marianna said, everyone talked and laughed but then everything got quite. Jordan turned around and saw his father. He hadn't heard anything about him or seen his father since that fight.
"What the hell is he doing here, Nicole? I thought I told you he was not allowed back in this house?" John said to Nicole as he grabbed her arm. Jordan pulled his mother away from John.
"Aye, don't be talking to her like that. I pay for all this shit in here so I can come and go as I please." Jordan said. The only people who knew Jordan paid for this house was him and his father. John stayed quite as he balled his fist up. This is where Jordan got his bad temper from. He learned everything from John but yet John still doesn't understand why Jordan acts just like him when he can be so much better.
"You need to leave my house." John said "Marianna?" John asked, he didn't know she was pregnant
Marianna nodded in fear but she didn't let the fear in her show. She didn't know if Jordan wanted her to talk to John or not and the last thing she wants, is for Jordan to be mad at her.
"Don't talk to my girl. I don't even know why I came here when I know everybody in this room can't stand me. Marianna, let's go." Jordan helped Marianna out of her chair even though she didn't need help.
Patrice and Nicole tried to talk Jordan out of leaving but he wasn't trynna hear it.
"Marianna?" Patrice said hoping Marianna could talk Jordan out of leaving. Marianna looked from Jordan to Patrice as Jordan gently pulled her closer to the car.
"Sorry." Marianna apologized as Jordan helped her into the front seat. She knows that when Jordan's mind is already made up, there's no changing his mind. He shut Marianna's door and then walked up to his mother and godmother. He hugged them both and kissed their cheeks. He walked back to the car, got in, and started driving.
"Why'd you do that, Jordan?" She doesn't understand why he had to react like that. He could've left with class instead of storming out
"Bae, don't start. I'm already pissed." He warned her but she wasn't having it. She wanted answers
"Why not, Jordan?" She needed to know what was so bad about his childhood that made him hate his family.
"Look, you don't know what it was like growing up. They're the reason I can't love you the way you deserve to be loved. The only thing he taught me, was how to fight and pull out, and I didn't do a good job with that considering you're pregnant."
Marianna took a deep breath. "Babies are a blessing, right?"
"Yeah I guess so." He answered confused
"So, maybe this is our blessing. Maybe we were meant to be parents. Maybe this is how our life was suppose to be."
"It's cute that you still dream about happily ever after shit, baby but this is real life."
"And this baby, our baby, is gonna be a real life baby that we have to raise, take care of, and love. So get ya shit together cause you need to be there to help me take care of our child." Jordan was gonna say something back but decided it's no use arguing with a pregnant woman.
That's the end and........yes there will be a second book. Since I deleted three stories, I'll make a sequel to this book. I wrote the last two chapters in the narrator's POV because it would've been hard to have it in Marianna's POV when she can't be in everybody's minds and know what they're thinking but in book 2, Jordan will have his own POV's so you know what he's thinking
"The Love She Always Wanted" will be the name of the second book. I'll let you guys know when I publish it
