The room lighted up when the alarm went off. Elvira sighed and covered her head with the blanket. Daniel opened his eyes, and his arm reached for the phone on the small side table next to the bed. He managed to stop the sound and turn the phone around. His eyes were closed again, and he dozed off to sleep again.

The alarm went off for the second time. Daniel pressed on the snooze button again and turned on a small light. He carefully removed the blanket from Elvira's head and looked at her. She looked peaceful when she was asleep, the neutral face, her messy hair. Her head was laying on his chest, her arm around his belly and her right leg between his legs. He pushed a piece of hair out of her face and smiled softly.

"El, wake up," he whispered.

"Hmm," she hummed and pressed her face softly in his bare chest. She was like a koala, a cute one.

He placed his hand on her hip and watched her waking up.

"I don't want to go," she mumbled and opened her eyes. She looked up and looked at Daniel.

"Good morning," he smiled.

"Morning." She yawned and placed her head back. "What is the time?"

"Quarter to eight. Time to get up," he answered. His voice was still thick from sleep.

She groaned and blinked a few times. "It's funny how we always build a wall of pillows between each other, and yet we wake up tangled in each other anyway," she noticed and yawned. Sleepovers was something they did a lot when they were younger, also in the same bed, and Elvira made a habit of building a wall of pillows between them. She figured out it didn't help, but it stayed in her system ever since.

"It's you who do it," he mentioned.

"You help me, anyway."

"Yeah, but that doesn't make sense to me when we wake up like this every time. You are wasting your energy when you do it. Why do you do it anyway?"

"Daniel," she groaned. "It's too early to think deeply about this." She let her fingertips touch his chest and drew small patterns on it.

Goosebumps spread out on his body by her warm touch. "Answer me."

"I don't know, personal space or something," she mumbled and shrugged.

"And yet you want to cuddle me."

"Who is saying it is me who wants to cuddle?" She raised her right eyebrow and looked at him.

"It's obvious you," he smirked. "It's okay. I don't mind it."

"I don't mind it either, but that isn't making me who destroys the wall and roll over."

"But it's you."

"Oh my goodness, Daniel," Elvira spoke dramatically and turned away from him, on her back. That side of the bed was cold, she figured out. Goosebumps spread out over her arms. "Even on early mornings you are a pain in the arse," she mumbled and turned her head towards him.

"Love you too," he smiled and placed his hand on her forehead. There wasn't really a reason to do it, but it felt right.

She looked at him and turned back to him. It was a lot nicer to have his warm body against hers instead of the cold blanket. "The practice starts at?"

"Half-past ten and half-past two." He placed his arm around her again and woke up more appropriately.

She nodded. "I won't make it to the first one, but will at the second one," she informed him. "How long do we have left? God, I really don't want to go."
