Elvira placed her bag on her desk and removed the coat of her body. She threw it over the chair and walked to the kitchen in the office. It was time for coffee. She politely greeted a few colleagues on her way to the kitchen and scanned the area. When she arrived at the kitchen, she grabbed a cup and made coffee.

Her head was pounding, and her eyes were itchy. It was around two when she arrived at home last night, meaning it was around eight in Shanghai, meaning she didn't close an eye last night. It was nice to lay in her own bed again, but she was tired, but awake at the same time. She was lucky her day wasn't long, she was planning to work between 10 and 2, just to process all the new topics and read the new emails.

"Bonjour."

Elvira looked up from her cup. "Hey," she greeted a colleague she didn't know the name of. She faked a smile.

"How was Shanghai? I heard you went to the Grand Prix as well." His brown eyes were staring in hers when he grabbed a cup of coffee as well.

And yet again she was being confronted by the words 'Grand Prix', a weekend she wanted to erase from her mind. "It was nice, the new format is looking beautiful, it was a taught full weekend," she answered and took a small sip from the coffee. "And the Grand Prix was amazing as well."

"You were friends with Ricciardo?"

Yep, were.

"Yes."

He smiled. "It must be amazing to be there at that moment."

A forced smile came on her lips. It was almost too fake that she could feel how not real it was. "It was, thank you." Her hip leaned against the counter, and she wrapped both of her hands around the cup. "How was it here?" Please, don't continue on the Shanghai thing.

"The same, nothing special. We had a productive week." He pressed his lips into a thin line and nodded slowly.

It was feeling awkward, but Elvira preferred this over than the talk about Shanghai. She licked her lips and looked next to him at the plants in the corner of the kitchen.

"Bonjour belle," the familiar voice of Marcel spoke, he had a deep, raspy voice what was super attractive. "Eric," he nodded to the man.

"Marcel," the man named Eric said. He looked at Elvira and gave her a small smile before the left the kitchen.

"Hey," Elvira said and turned towards Marcel's direction. Her fake smile changed into a real smile. Tears were burning in her eyes because of the tiredness, but also because she was finally able to see him after two weeks. She needed someone now to cuddle and to talk with - other than friends.

"How are you?" He smiled and placed his hands on her arm. His blue eyes were smiling while he scanned her face. The dimples in his cheek were shown.

"Tired, but alright," she reassured him.

"I saw you on tv," he told her and placed a piece of hair behind her ear. His fingertips were following her jawline and collarbone afterwards. "In the garage of him. How is he doing? The win was amazing." Him was referenced to Daniel.

"Yeah," she muttered and looked away. "That is something I have to tell you later." She wanted to tell him about what happened, but she couldn't just tell Marcel that Daniel didn't like him and that is the reason why they had a fight - Daniel was an arsehole anyway, but he dragged Marcel down.

"Oh."

"It's nothing big," she lied and gave him a smile.

His eyes scanned hers.
