"Who Her?" Lila asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Her!" Adrien laughed.

"Again, totally ignoring the fact that you didn't answer my previous question which I'm totally gonna repeat again, who Her?"

"I'll show you myself! I could never forget that hair!" Adrien jumped around giddily.
Lila internally smiled at seeing him like this after so long.

She half hoped that 'Her' was Marinette. But knowing that there was no way it could be her, she immediately discarded the thought.

Adrien clutched her hand and literally dragged the poor girl towards the direction he remembered.

"Please, let me find you." Adrien kept whispering to himself desperately.
"Please, don't disappear into the crowd again!" He muttered.

"Show yourself!"
(Frozen II? Anyone?)

Lila found it all very amusing. She felt a blush creep up to her face when he held her hand. She felt butterflies in her stomach when he kept looking at her and laughing about how she'll be so very much surprised when she found out who 'her' was.

Lila felt she was starting to like this goofy blond.
Again.

She stopped when she realized what she was thinking.
Adrien looked at her in a vague expression when she quietly and abruptly, yanked her hand out of his grip.

"What happened Lila?" Adrien queried.

"I can't."

"..."

"I can't do this again."

"Do what again, Lila?"

"I can't afford to bear the guilt of another person's death! I- I-"

"..."

Adrien was silent.
What was she talking about?
Guilt?
Another person's death?

"Lila is there something you know that I don't?"

"..."

This time, it was Lila's turn to stay silent.

"Tell me, Lila. Is there something you're hiding?" Adrien repeated.

Lila hesitated.

"....no." She whispered.

Adrien looked at her. He was...

Disappointed.

Lila saw it.
She shook her head and kept walking. Away from the crowd, they were into.

"Lila! Wait! At least let me show you-"

"Adrien?" Both of them heard a voice right behind them.
But to Adrien, the voice was all too familiar.

"I knew it!" He exclaimed quietly as he turned around to hug her.

"I knew it! I knew you were alive! I could feel it! I'm so happy that you're back!"

"Adrien, calm down!" She laughed as her hair shone in the sun.

"You've changed so much!" Adrien cried as tears escaped his eyes. He kept on hugging her.

All the while, Lila's mouth hung open.

Adrien took in all her features. She had changed.
She had blond hair, a slim frame, and an unsurprisingly very good fashion sense.

"I've missed you, Mom." Adrien cried.

"I've missed you too, son." Emilie Agreste stood there, in full glory.
