Chapter 11: Revenge

A/N: "So who wants some revenge!"

Ghost: "Should we play the song?"

A/N: "No, not yet, not yet."

Ghost: "Alright, it's on hold."

A/N: "Good, very good."

Void's perspective

We all stood in front of the large mirror that the beholder was guarding.

Priestess: "It's possible this is an object of worship?"

Lizardmen: "Yes and we should take much care in touching it."

Priestess: "I agree but we must investigate it."

She walked up and touched it with her finger, like it was liquid it rippled. Slayer got in front of her and I drew my shotgun.

Slayer: "Get ready."

The ripple went across the surface of the mirror before it showed what was like a live feed of goblins in a desolate landscape.

Slayer: "Goblins."

Priestess: "What are we seeing?"

Lizardmen: "I believe it's the goblins home."

Elf: "Hey there's the ship."

She said as she pointed to the image we were seeing, a large ship like before sat at a dock.

Void: "It's like the Vex, this is why the beholder was protecting this, it's a portal. That's how they're getting here."

Dwarf: "One of the ancient artifacts then. One that can use long lost spells, what a find this is."

Elf: "If that's true then someone must be summoning the goblins here."

Dwarf: "Then supplying them with weapons and then allowing them to live here."

Lizardmen: "Also deploying that foul creature to protect the gate. An unexpected turn of events."

Priestess: "What should we do now?"

Slayer walked over and picked up a cloth with a symbol on it.

Slayer: "So it was goblins."

Loud echos began to enter the room we were in.

Void: "That explosion probably alerted every goblin in this sewer."

Lizardmen: "If they are using it as a portal, then they must know to protect it."

Dwarf: "And now they're on their way to kill the intruders."

Elf: "Can we catch a break?"

Void: "Not in this line of work."

Priestess: "Goblin Slayer?"

Slayer looked around and then back at us.

Slayer: "Don't worry, we should start to fortify this place."

Void: "Right, let's get these benches up against the door."

Everyone began to set up the makeshift barricades while Slayer checked on everyone.

Slayer: "Can you fight?"

Elf: "Ya I'm fine, just make sure you don't get thrown into a wall like last time."

Slayer: "That's not my plan."

He said bluntly as the lizardmen walked over

Lizardmen: "All the preparations are ready."
