"Mom, please don't me go," I whine. It's been two months since my mother moved to San Fransokyo. She got a new job as a professor at the SFIT. Chemistery Science I believe. Now, it's time for me to go to the school, yes, a 14 year old going to a college, crazy, right? She tries to convince me it's fine and I'll fit in, but I honestly doubt that, I'm 5ft and I still don't have my 12 year old molers, how does she expect me to fit in, in a college university.

"Y/N, you'll do fine, you finshed High School at the second highest, you should be happy" she boops my nose quickly.

"But, Mary doesn't have to go to the college" I direct towards my 15 year old step-sister. She can be the nicest person ever, but get on her bad side, you're in for it.

"Because, she needs finish school. Y/N you know she has a normal learning pace, unlike you," my mom delivers. She packs my lunch into a Y/F/C lunch box and then fixes breakfast for the rest of my family. I have one sister, a step sister, and two twin siblings. My step dad, Carl, is a bussiness worker at the capital in San Fransokyo. He moved here first, then my mom got a job and decided it was best for all of us to move here too. I don't think she remebered I had friends, actually friends back home. Two of the bestest. Alissa and Theodore. They were in my level of learning and we went through everything together, I even shared my first kiss with Theodore. He was also my first crush, but apperantly that meant nothing to my family. My siblings were more than happy to move away, they too had friends, my step sister was head cheerleader, and was dating the football jock. How once slammed me into lockers and dumped milk on my head.

"Right mom, whatever you say" I sigh, finally coming up with words to say.

"Alright, sweety, please lighten up, it's your first day!" She beams. "Once I finish making these pancakes for the rest of the family we can leave, after you eat of course" her excitment is way to out of proportion. I watch carefully as she flips the pancakes. She isn't the best cook, but hey at least she does it. I can hear footsteps from the third level. Everyone is finally getting ready. The first to come down the steps are the twins, both five years old. Hunter and Hailey.

"Mommy, I'm hungry," Hunter yawns, rubbing at his sleepy eyes.

"Alright, well here ya go. " she puts a pancake, each, on three seperate plates and serves them to the twins and I.

"Thanks mommy" Hailey smiles sweetly. She's my favorite of all my siblings. She doesn't argue, even at her young age, and she is very polite.

"You're welcome pumpkin." I hear footsteps again, Mary. She comes down in a pink skirt and floral top, that's rather tight. I look down sadly at my skinny jeans and blouse. My converse can't even compare to her worn sadals. I try though, my blouse is new I guess. It's Mary's old one.

"Hey mom," Hailey flips her blonde hair nonchalantly "Where's dad?" she questions.

"Um, he went to the Cafe just down the street, he's bringing me coffee" my mom answers. I adjust my glasses and stare at the floor. I try to contain all my nerves, but it's almost impossible.

"Y/N, your going to do great," Mary pats my back softly. I look up at her and she smiles slightly.

"I dunno" I mumble.

"You're a genuis, Y/N, you'll fit in with the countless other genuis's"

"Think so?"

"I know so," just as Mary's words leave her mouth, Carl comes from the door. I usually call him dad, but there is still apart of me that wishes my real dad were still here. He died when I was 6, in a oil rig freak accident. He didn't even have a chance, and my sister was only three months at the time, it was hard for my whole family, then Carl came along, he patched the wounds of my mothers, but mine were never binded. I love Carl, as a dad, but it's just not the same.

"Here ya go darling," he kisses my mom's head and then the twins, Mary, and me.

"Where is Ginnifer?"

"Sleeping," my mom stresses.

"It's fine, I'll get her up in time ready for school. I think it's time that Mary gets to the bus" Carl flashes his bright white teeth to his perfect daughter.

"Right, sorry, I was just wishing Y/N, a great day at her first day of college" she gets up from the table and grabs her tote bag, that contains her needs for school.

"Bye, Mary, love you" My mom calls after her. Mary's mom, is out of the picture, she left mary and Carl when Mary was 4. She was a dead beat, by what I was told. I just didn't think Carl would have been with a girl like that, but tha'ts only me.

"Love you too, love you dad, bye guys" she waves out the door. I watch as the town bus picks her up. Where I lived I rode a school bus, not a town bus. This new arangement is going to take a lot of getting used to.

"Well, Carl, we gotta wish, out little brainiach here, good luck on her first day of college" my mom jumps slightly.

"Yes, of course, and you a good first day at work" I look at the swooning couple and gag slightly. The twins giggle as they kiss.

"I'll see you after work, honey, Good luck, Y/N, you'll do great," Carl gives me two big thumbs up as I pull my mom out the door. The bus we need to go on stops across the street I sprint over with my heavy backpack. It has a laptop, three books, three journals, my cell phone, and of course writing untensils. My mom hands the bus driver our tickets, the large man nods and points us to the back. I find a seat that will fit the both of us. My mom props her bag on her lap and I copy her, setting my 10lbs backpack on my legs.

"Are you excited?" my mom glances over at me then out the window.

"I'm nervous," I admit.

"Don't be, I know we're going in in the middle of October, but everyone is still kinda new. So you'll be alright" she gives me an asuring dimple. I grin back sadly. The bus jerks to a holt, a huge building, maybe 7 stories high, and very wide is in front.

"Is that SFIT?" I gulp.

"Yep," My mom bubbles over with excitment. Next to the huge doors is a small memorial. I skim it quickly, apparently, a few months ago there was this huge explosion that burnt down the building, only one was killed. A student, Tadashi Hamada. The names they have here are, unique.

"Mom, did you read that?" I point to the candels and pictures.

"Yeah, they told me when I got my job here, did I not tell you?" I shake my head.

"Oh, it's sad, poor kid" my mom frowns. We stare at the pictures for a moment before making a bee line into the building.

"I have to go to my class room, sweet heart, but there is supposed to a girl helping you around school for today," my mom looks around , several teens pass us by. None stopping. Great, just great.

"Hi, I'm Honey Lemon, or Honey or short" a tall girl with 'honey blonde hair' comes up from behind.

"Awesome, are you here to show my daughter around?" My mom asks.

"Um, yep, I think so, she's Y/N Y/L/N, right?" the tall girl saunters for a moment waiting for a response.

"Yep, that is her" my mom responds.

"Great, well I'll definatly help her around," the blonde girl locks arms with me.

"Super, I'll see you later sweet heart," My mom gushes and takes off in the other direction. This is going to be a long day.
