Hiro asked my sister out, and to my luck she said yes. Sometimes I feel like the entire universe is against me. I don't blame Hiro for choosing my sister over me, but it just feels all too fast. I just started school and my sister already had a party and has a boyfriend. I watch the new happy couple as the watch the sappy love film. Ugh, it makes me sick. If finding your true love was that easy I would have mine by now. The credits pass by and Mary is practically on Hiro's lap. She leans in and he copies her motions, their lips touch and I turn away. I sink off my bed and quietly leave the room. My parents just got home 10 minutes ago. 

"Where's mary at?" Carl asks.

"She's upstairs, her new boyfriend is over," 

"Boyfriend ? Already?" Carl shakes his head. 

"Yeah, he goes to my school" I explain.

"Oh, who is it?" my mom adds herself to the conversation. My poor little sister sits at the table sadly sketching away, I can't get a good look at it , but I'm sure it's great. 

"Hiro," who else would it be, she's 15 not 17. 

"Awe, I thought you liked him" my mom pouts. 

"Ew, no" I fib. I hear footsteps from the stairs and look behind. 

"Hiro, hello there" My mom gives him a huge bear hug. 

"Hi!" Hiro beams. Mary reconnects her hands with Hiro.

"Would you like to stay for dinner, we're having Pizza" mom sign songs. 

"Yeah, sure, I'll text my aunt" 

"Great, well while you wait you guys can go watch tv or do homework if you have any" she directs more towards Mary. I did all of my homework in class when the teacher was lecturing about things I already know about. 

"Ok, thanks mom, come on Y/N" Mary pulls me up to the second level where the tv is. The twins sit in front of it. 

"Hey guys can we watch some MTV?" Mary sits down, Hiro never leaving her side. They barely know each other yet they are already attacthed at the hip. 

"but I wanna watch BIG HERO 6" Hunter cries. I'm a fan of the movie, Mary not so much. 

"Fine then I guess we'll watch too" Mary rolls her eyes.  Out of my prepherial vision I see Ginnifer slip up the steps. 

"I'll be right back," I tell the small group.

"Ok, where are you going?" Hiro's eyes wander into mine, and I almost can't look away but I do. 

"I need to do some project," I shrink up the steps and find Ginnifer in her own room. It's filler with fun colors and amazing drawings.

"Hey," I knock on her door before fully coming in. 

"Hi," Ginnifer gives me an almost smile.

"What's up? I'm sorry I haven't talked to you in the last day, it's been crazy" 

"Yeah, it's ok," 

"So, what are you working on?" I peek over her shoulder, the picture is of my dad, me, her, and my mom. 

"Ginnifer are you alright?" 

"Yeah, I keep having dreams about dad, I know he's gone it's just dreams of when I was smaller and we all a happy family. I was only a baby but it was still a happy time" Ginnifer babbles. 

"I sometimes have thoses dreams too, I didn't think you would remember him" 

"I don't really, but in my dreams he's there. It's nice, he was an amazing person," Ginni looks off dreamily.

"He was, Ginni, he was. Do you want to come down stairs and watch a movie with Mary and her new boyfriend" 

"New boyfriend? We just started school" Ginni laughs.

"Yeah, I know, long story" 

"Ok, yeah, let's go" Ginni's actions surprise me, she normally isn't up for activites like this, but it's good to see her shy side coming off. I fallow Ginni down the steps and she sits on the floor next to the twins. She doesn't seem to care about the black haired, nerd sitting next to Mary. The movie proceeds with no interruptions until Carl brings up the pizza boxes. Mary takes one up stairs and makes me come up as well with Hiro. 

"Hey, Mary can you come help me with my outfit for tommorrow?" My mom comes into our room. Mary gladly gets up and leaves. Leaving Hiro and I alone. 

"just to warn you, this may take a while" I warn Hiro. 

"That's all good, as long as I'm home by 10 aunt cass doesn't care" Hiro dimples. His smile gives me butterflies. STOP, stop falling for your sisters boyfriend. 

"Cool," 

"You like the word cool don't you?" He smirks meanly. 

"I guess," My voice breaks. Nervousness taking over, I've never been in a room by myself with a guy, let alone a guy I had feelings for. 

"Y/N, I, I" he stumbles with words.

"You what?" 

"I. Never mind, it doesn't matter" He face palms himself and glances towards the door. He must really like Mary. I wish he liked me as much as he likes Mary, I can dream.

"oh, ok, " 

"Do you like me?" Hiro shifts from where he lays on Mary's bed. 

"Um, why?" 

"No reason, that was a stupid question . Are we friends?" 

"I guess, if that's ok with you. I could use a good friend" I look up to him. 

"Yeah, of course" He pats my back in a friendly matter.
