The Geek and the Nerd (Hiro x Reader)

I wake up the next morning, sluggish. I do the usual things I do in the morning, but today I try to dress up just a bit more than yesterday with a dress. Maybe Hiro will look at me. These stupid feelings, I just met the guy and I'm already falling hoplessly in love with him ? What's wrong with me ? (Several things). 

"Y/N hurry up sweetheart, we got to leave, your sister already did and our bus will be here any minute" My mom calls up the steps. I spot Ginnifer in the hall sulking a bit. I can't talk to her now, but tonight I will. She hasn't said a word since sunday and it worries me. I tug on my converse and run down the steps. My mom hands me the lunch box and we rush out of the doors.

"You look so pretty today, Y/N, I heard you met friends, I'm so happy for you!" My mom bounces in the bus seat. 

"Yeah, a few, I think" I propose.

"Well, tell them they are welcome to our place anytime," she says with her cheery bright smile. Everyone in my family fits right in the sterotypical people here, happy, cheery, and nice. Me I don't think so.  

"Ok," I don't bring up the fact that the boy I have a crush on has googily eyes over my sister, my mom would probuably say, " someday you'll find a boy". Well mom, that day will be never. I sigh heavily and push my head against the glass. My breath brings condisation and I draw small faces in the space. The bus stops and my mom and I take a leap off. We go our seperate ways. Honey Lemon and Hiro stand at lockers. I get out my phone to bring up my scedule and locker number, Honey said I match up with her and Hiro's scedule, Honey only has an extra chemistery class. 

"Hey!" Honey waves. I wave back slightly. I stare at the lockers until I find my number, right next to Hiro, great. 

"Hey, whatcha doing girl, are you excited for your first real day of college?" Honey quizzes.

"Kinda," 

"Y/N I notice you don't talk much,"

"She's shy, Honey" Hiro explains. 

"Oh yeah, why are you shy?" Honey purses her lips for an answer.

"Um, I don't know, I just never really talked much unless I really love something" I shrug.

"Ah, I see, well we need to find things you love, so what do you like?" 

"Um, books, games, music, " I list off. 

"Me too!!" 

"cool" I  stick my backpack inside the narrow locker and only get out a journal and my laptop. I have 10 minutes until classes start so I work on my diagram and random other little things. 

"Hey, I'm going to go to the nerd lab, I have to grab some stuff I'll be right back" Honey tells Hiro and I then skips down the hall. 

                                                        Hiro's P.O.V

Honey leaves. It's only Y/N and I. I wish I could ask her out, but she's so shy and I heard shy girls always reject. I just met Y/N sure, but she's different, and it's actually quite alluring. Last night at the party the bottle landed on me and Mary, Y/N's sister. Her sister is beautiful so pretty and even admitted she liked me. It's the first any girl has. I mean I much prefer Y/N over Mary, but maybe Mary would be a good first girlfriend, I want to get Y/N's answer about that. 

"So, Y/N, what would you think about your sister and I?" I blush. 

"Hm? Um, that sounds great," Y/N hums. 

"Really ?" I give her a sly brow but she doesn't look up from her screen. 

"Yeah, " she says flatly. 

"Awesome, so you wouldn't care if i'de ask her out or anything, I mean if age is a problem well, I'm turning 15 in a week so that won't much matter" I stumble with words. I kinda wish Y/N would say I shouldn't date her sister. I want to date Y/N. But her mixed signals frustrate me. 

"It's your choice" she responds in the same tone. 

"Are you sure you'll be alright?" I buzz more quietly.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be" I sigh as her response. She doesn't like me, why did I think such a beautiful, smart, talented girl would like some loser like me? 

"Oh, no reason, I'll ask her out tonight, " I smile sadly, but Y/N doesn't notice,her nose is in that computer of her's.  I send a quick text to Mary. I hate doing this, espcially because they perfect girl is right in front of me, but I can't wait forever. 

me: can u meet me at the cafe at 4 ?

mary: sure thang ;)
