Three weeks later, Jessica and Nick grew closer as a couple. She and Brian were getting along well as friends and she met Rachel and she and the girls put an effort in getting along with her by inviting her to lunch sometimes and she has become a friend to them as well so now they can quadruple date when possible. Jessica wrote a new song and smiled and took it to her music producer friend who helped her with the music and the tone of the song. Soon it was Friday night, Ashley, Alex, Kyle, and Melanie were sitting there in the coffee shop while Jessica sat with the other singers. Nick came in with Brian and Rachel.

"So Jessica sings?" Rachel asked.

"Yeah, she's sung two times already, the shop has open mic nights every Friday, we have videos of her singing, we'll play them later," Brian said. They watched the other singers. Then it was Jessica's turn and she smiled and looked at Nick.

"This song is dedicated to a special guy in my life," Jessica said. Nick smiled. Jessica sang the song.

I love it when we're at a party
In a down-town crowd
But I can't hear you call me, baby,
With the music up loud

Red wine,
Good times,
No, I don't mind being with everyone else
And then there's nights like tonight that I--
I want you to myself

And tonight I wanna drive so far
We'll only find static on the radio
And we can't see those city lights
And I love the way you look in a firefly glow

Saying everything without making a sound,
A cricket choir in the background,
Underneath a harvest moon
Standing on your shoes in my bare feet,
Dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat

Oh, whoa,
And we're dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat

And I wanna feel it like a kick drum,
Beating faster in your chest
I wanna feel you holding onto me
And make me hold my breath

You pull me closer,
My head on your shoulder,
Baby, we won't need a song
We'll make a fallen-star wish,
One more slow kiss,
What are we waiting on?

And tonight I wanna drive so far
We'll only find static on the radio
And we can't see those city lights
And I love the way you look in a firefly glow

Saying everything without making a sound,
A cricket choir in the background,
Underneath a harvest moon
Standing on your shoes in my bare feet,
Dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat
Yeah, we're dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat

I wanna feel it like a kick drum beating faster in your chest

And tonight I wanna drive so far
We'll only find static on the radio
And we can't see those city lights
And I love the way you look in a firefly glow

Saying everything without making a sound
With a river rolling in the background
Underneath the harvest moon
Standing on your shoes in my bare feet,
Dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat
And we're dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat

(Song: Heartbeat by Carrie Underwood)

Jessica smiled and everyone stood up and clapped. She came down offstage and went into Nick's arms.

"That was amazing," Nick said.

"That song was for you," Jessica said. The owner of the coffee shop came up to Jessica and whispered something to her and she looked at him and nodded.

"Baby?" Nick asked.

"One of the singers got sick and they need the slot filled, looks like I'm singing another song," Jessica said.

"Go for it, baby," Nick said.

"This song is for you as well," Jessica said kissing him before going back up onstage and sang another song.

I can feel the magic floating in the air
Being with you gets me that way
I watch the sunlight dance across your face and I've
Never been this swept away

All my thoughts just seem to settle on the breeze
When I'm lying wrapped up in your arms
The whole world just fades away
The only thing I hear
Is the beating of your heart

'Cause I can feel you breathe
It's washing over me
Suddenly I'm melting into you
There's nothing left to prove
Baby all we need is just to be
Caught up in the touch
The slow and steady rush
Baby, isn't that the way that love's supposed to be
I can feel you breathe
Just breathe

In a way I know my heart is waking up
As all the walls come tumbling down
I'm closer than I've ever felt before
And I know
And you know
There's no need for words right now

'Cause I can feel you breathe
It's washing over me
Suddenly I'm melting into you
There's nothing left to prove
Baby all we need is just to be
Caught up in the touch
The slow and steady rush
Baby, isn't that the way that love's supposed to be
I can feel you breathe
Just breathe

Caught up in the touch
The slow and steady rush
Baby, isn't that the way that love's supposed to be
I can feel you breathe
Just breathe

I can feel the magic floating in the air
Being with you gets me that way

(Song: Breathe by Faith Hill)

Everyone once again stood up and clapped and cheered. She got offstage and walked over to her friends and Nick kissed her and hugged her.

"Jessica, Kyle and I have started planning the wedding, for our first dance, we want you to sing the song, we have it picked already," Melanie said.

"What song?" Jessica asked.

"From This Moment On by Shania Twain," Melanie said.

"I love that song," Jessica said.

"I know, we do too, we want it as our first dance and we want you singing it," Melanie said.

"You got it!" Jessica said hugging them. They all left and went home. Nick walked her to the door.

"Goodnight baby," Nick said kissing her softly.

"Goodnight," Jessica said. She hugged him and kissed him and went inside and closed the door. She went upstairs and showered and went to bed.
