Iman

This is so childish and ridiculous. "What the hell is even going on?" I asked frustrated. Everyone is acting like jealous school girls.

I saw Juliette walking towards me after getting someone's order. she sighed and gave it to someone to get it ready.

"Juliette, what is going on? why is everyone ignoring me?" I asked her. She was the only one I could get an answer out of right now..

I felt like such an outcast. she looked at me with widened eyes. "You mean you don't know?" She asked surprised. "Not at all." I responded, shaking my head.

From the corner of my eye I saw Mary glaring at us. "We'll talk about this later, Juliette." I said. she got the hint and we went back to work again.

As I continued to do my duties, Mr. no-name continued to size me up. Most would find this flattering, but I just found it uncomfortable. I wet a rag and started wiping down a table as the customers left.

Many minutes passed and I was still waiting for Mr.Mysterious, and wow that's a lot of nick names I have for him, to leave but he just sat in his seat, watching me with interest as if washing tables were fun.

My eye twitched in annoyance when I looked at him and he had a grin drawn on his lips.

"Sir, I would appreciate it if you you'd stop staring." I said with a slight edge in my tone. I tried to say it in the nicest way I could to him.

he raised his brows in a amusement and chuckled. Keep your cool, Iman.

"I'm sorry, Miss. I just couldn't help myself." He said making me roll my eyes.

"Sir, I don't mean to sound rude.....but why are you still here? its almost time for closing and you've been sitting here doing nothing, for a while now."

He just ignored me and continued to watch me. I just clenched my teeth and continued my job as I heard numerous whispering.

"My, she is so rude!"

"Why does he stare at her so?"

"Does this woman not know who he is?"

"She is lucky if she doesn't lose her job"

I rolled my eyes and checked my watch. It was ten minutes until closing. (aka almost time for me to go home.)

"Sir, its almost time to close up shop. You're going to have to leave." I said victoriously. I actually hate to be so rude, but he was working my last nerve.

He smirked. "Oh? but I'm not ready to leave, Iman.." He said watching me for any response. I cringed. I'm beginning to wish I never told him my name.

"Sir, you're going to have to leave." I said.

"Iman," I heard someone harshly say my name. Both of us turned our attention behind me to my manager who was glaring at me, and my Co-workers looking at me like I was insane.

"Its quite strange how you don't know who I am?" He said with creased eyebrows. I had to be honest and say his eyebrow game was on fleek.

I widened my eyes in amusement. "Well you never told me your name in the first place. How could I know you?" I said a bit confused.

"Anyway, it's time for me to go." I said waving bye to Juliette who also gave me a worried look.

"Justin." I heard him say before I left the store.

-The next day-

I put one grape in my mouth as I flipped the channels with the other hand. I was so happy that I didn't have to work today. It was my day off, and I chose to spend it in my cozy apartment, relaxing.

I would've gone out today but I simply didn't feel like it. After watching a dramatic movie, I settled on a French gossip channel. the people telling the stories all spoke English so it was easier to understand.

To be honest I found it quite useless to make gossip about a famous person's life but, whatever keeps the money rolling.

"Yes Jean, I definetly agree." A blonde woman with short hair said chuckling as she looked at the Male news reporter's face. "So continuing with our next story. wait here's a question. What would you do if the Prince walked into your coffee shop?" He asked with widened eyes.

"That's a good one. I honestly don't know what I'd do. maybe I'd probably just give him the BEST service as possible." The woman winked.

I somewhat found this topic interesting , considering I worked at a coffee shop, myself. So, I turned up the volume.

And I knew that France had a royal family. I just never knew what they looked like. let alone the prince. I heaf he was quite handsome though.

"The prince has been spotted numerous times at a coffee shop right here in the heart of Paris. We can't give out the name or location of the shop, i must say though, he visited there two days in a row." He said.

"This is pathetic." I said about to change the channel. So a prince goes to a shop to buy some coffee and you have to make a story about it? wow.

"Prince Justinian must like coffee a latte" The woman said, making me raise an unimpressed eyebrow.

Then a picture of a handsome man wearing a dark suit with neatly styled hair showed up on the screen and I started repeatedly blinking my eyes.

Why does he look so-

"N-no-no . Th-this.......wh-what?" Um i stuttered as I remembered this man that I served at the café.

"My, my He is quite the looker." She said giggling.

Yeah, I'd be giggling too if I knew I wasn't going to lose my job.

This cannot be true. oh my God. So this is the reason why people kept looking at me the way they did.

I don't know, but I'm praying right now that I don't lose my job.
