-Iman

Its been 2 weeks since ive lost my job and ive been on the hunt to look for some that i could possibly do. Juliette has been very helpful and im very greatul for her.

Shes been helping me look for open jobs all around paris since thats basically where i live and im more familiar with the place.

I havent officially settled for a job yet, but the choices have narrowed down to two that work in my favor. A nice french resturaunt, or a local grociery store.

I just cant wait to finish my online college so i can settle for a more comfortable career.

well, today was the end of the week and i had to return my uniform back to cafe verlet. I recieved my last paycheck in the mail so i knew i officially lost this job.

I was going to definetely miss working at the cafe. It was kind of boring, but I had so many memories here. Kind of. But ive been woking here since i first got to France. This job was literally how my life here got started.

I sighed and began to put on my clothes. A fitting brown sweater, light wash skinny jeans, and brown combat boots witch a matching scarf.

I was walking along the morning streets of Paris when i glanced at the small plastic bag i was carrying.

It contained the folded uniform and hat, and identity tag. I was definetly going to miss this job. Ive been working here ever since i arrived in France.

I clenched my jaw. Stupid Prince. Ugh, why couldnt he just get one of his slaves to buy him a coffee?

As i steped into the shop, I frowned. Business was wild today. There were customers everywhere and employees busily serving them. The scent of foods and dairy's filled the air and soft jazz played in the background.

I will deeply miss this place. It was quite difficult to get to the front desk when there were literally people blocking your way and out and about.

"Excus-ez moi'" I constantly said before getting to the front. Juliette was working the register.

Her eyes widened. "Iman," She said smiling. "Bonjour, Juliette. Im here to return my things." I said showing her the bag that contained my uniform and nametag. She frowned and looked up at me.

"Oh..I truly wish you could stay Iman, The rest of the employees were even talking about you getting fired." She said rolling her eyes at the last part.

I guess the fact that ive been fired spread like...well, fire.

"I just wanna say thank you, Juliette. Youve been very very helpful to me." I said almost in tears. It just made me feel so special that i had a friend who cared so much about me and went to the extent of helping, like Juliette did.

A smile grew on her face. "De rien." she said leaning over the counter to hug me. Translation: You're welcome

"Shall i take the bag to the manager?" She asked looking behind her to the manager's office. 'No need to worry yourself, I'll do it." I shruged my hsoulders.

She nodded her head. I moved out of the way so a customer could order and i went to the baack of the shop where some of the employees that were on break were. What made me really feel like an outcast was that everyone's eyes were on me.

Not to mention that I just got fired about a week ago. (week ago)

The staring got really uncomfortable while i was walking towards my destination which was the door that read, "manager" and I couldnt help but to swallow the huge lump in my throat.
