Iman

Justin pulled the chair for me to sit then took a seat next to me. We were at the beginning of the table right next to the studded bigger chair that remained untouched.

It was a very long table that was under various gold chandeliers. Our table was the farthest away from the others and seems to be the most important, too.

The queen sat in front of me and Justin, on the left side of the table. The  table fell silent as a man who stood tall, wearing a straight face and white suit, sat himself on the first seat.

I leaned forward to Justin. "Is he..."

"My Father King Jeremy, yes." He whispered back. Yay, that makes me less nervous.

I honestly don't feel like I'm supposed to be sitting here. All these curious eyes...

It makes me feel insecure to no end. All these beautiful rich and royal people amongst me and...its just an uncomfortable feeling.

Next, Victoria took her seat next to the Queen and what seemed like another family, joined the table. Another girl that had some resemblance sat next to her. So, I'm guessing they're related.

Jaxon then smiled at me and took his seat on the left of Justin.

From my peripheral vision, I saw Victoria's gaze on me tighten. "This had better be a joke.." She muttered ripping her gaze from me.

What is her deal? I just got here and she's already got an attitude.

Her sister or whatever, thenwhispered something in Victoria's ear.

I frowned.

And I thought wearing this dress wouldn't make me an outcast... I want to go home, honestly..

"Shall we eat?" The deep voice that kind of scared me, sitting at the head asked.

Believe me when I say I'm trying everything to avoid eye contact with Justin's father, I can just feel the high power radiating off of him.

Everyone nodded their heads and agreed and the servants, I assume, came to lay food and drinks onto the table.

"Water or wine?" A young girl asked me with a timid smile. She looked around 18.

And my only choices are water and wine? Wow, Weird place.

"Water would be just fine, thank you so much." I said smiling at the girl.

She looked at me very ammused then nodded her head and moved on to the next person.

Everyone's conversations ceased as they glanced at me.

Even Justin glanced at me, but he too, was amused and he held a grin.

Ummmm, k?

Did I like, embarrass myself or something?

When almost everyone returned back to their conversations, I tapped Justin's shoulder.

"Yes, Iman?" He asked lowering his head so I could talk to him.

"Why did you look at me like that?" I hope he's not turning into one of those people.

He smiled. "You were so kind to the maid."  He said.

"Is that wrong?" I asked him. I mean, I serve people too. I work at a cafe for crying out loud.

"No, its not. But its just not very common." He said.
