"Josh, you're late."
I stared at the door. Gerard and Tyler were peeking through the window. Miss Jackson had no clue, which was pretty odd. I kept watching, then saw a hand grab on to the door. Miss Jackson turned around and three people came inside, following Josh.
Ryan.
I stared at Ryan as he came in, thinking about how much he had changed.
Ryan went from following all the rules, never talking, and being sarcastic to never going to class, having a loud mouth, and being slightly rude. What made things worse was that I had told him I was going to try and make amends with Dallon, yet he proceeded to be stubborn and wouldn't be nice to Dallon even when Dallon tried.
I'd understand, Dallon beat the shit out of Ryan before, but Dallon really was trying to change.
Ryan smiled at me.
I immediately turned to face the whiteboard.
I hated to treat Ryan like this, but I was upset. I just wanted him and Dallon to get along so we could all be friends, but to do that I have to be friends with Dallon, and Ryan wouldn't let me do that.
Class was boring. I slept through most of it and the only interesting part was when Gerard, Tyler, and Ryan got caught.
Once class was over, I immediately went to find Dallon.
I passed a rather large crowd that was chanting. "Dallon?" I shouted.
Then I remembered what happened during lunch. "Shit!" I gasped before running back to the circle.
I shoved my way through the crowd of people and saw Dallon and Ryan. "God, you two never learn." I complained. Dallon and Ryan turned to me. "Bren!" Ryan smiled.
"Everyone, go. It's over. Leave." I said, shooing away the crowd of people. Once everyone was gone, I began to ask questions. "Okay, who started what?" I asked. Dallon sighed. "It was me, and I'm sorry about it. My anger gets the best of me at times and I know, I know, it's a horrible excuse and it doesn't mean I should be hurting people." He raised his hands up. "What exactly happened?" I asked.
"I ran into him in the halls and he was mad and then I got mad and you know how I get when I'm mad." Dallon looked down. "That's the biggest lie of the fucking century." Ryan's eyes widened. I turned to face Ryan. "Okay. What really happened?" I asked. "Please, Ryan, don't lie again." Dallon frowned. "But I didn't-"
"He's just gonna lie, Brendon." Dallon looked me in the eyes. I sighed. "Ryan, I'm sorry." I shook my head. "No, not again. Bren, please." Ryan pleaded.
I wanted to listen to him and tell him it would be alright, but Dallon had already begun dragging me away.
"You two are impossible." I mumbled. "What's that?" Dallon stopped. "I just want you all to, y'know, get along. I want my friend to be friends with my other friend but it just won't work." I sighed. "Wait, so, we're really friends?" Dallon's eyes lit up. "Well, yeah." I nodded. Dallon grinned.
"Hey, Urie."
I turned and saw Gerard coming up to me. My heart dropped. Gerard and Ryan had been getting rather close, leading me to fear that I was about to get my ass kicked.
"Just wanted to know if you were still coming to the party." Gerard stopped and leaned up against a locker. "Yeah, still planning on it. Is it okay if Dallon-" I immediately stopped myself from speaking. "No, no, sorry. It's your party. I shouldn't be inviting people." I shook my head.
Gerard looked at Dallon, then to me, then Dallon again. He repeated this several times with the same look on his face the whole time. An eyebrow raised with a small scowl. "I mean, I guess he could come. Don't let me see him around Ryan at the party, though." Gerard finally answered. "God, it's not that bad, is it?" I rolled my eyes. Gerard just turned around and left.
"That was kinda rude." Dallon stated. "Yeah." I said. "Hey, do you wanna just go out and get food or whatever?" Dallon asked. I nodded. "Sure." I told him.
After getting food and running around, we found ourselves sitting in my room talking about pointless shit.
"Look, Brendon, I'm sorry about everything." He said. "No, it's fine. You've apologized several times in an hour earlier. Trust me, it's okay." I smiled.
"I know, it's just, I feel bad. You just wanted to get along and I just fucked it up." Dallon shook his head.
"No, no, don't say that! It's fine! Seriously." I told him. "Are you sure?" He asked. "I'm sure." I nodded.
Dallon looked down and then grinned. He pulled out his phone. "Smile." He said, pulling up his phone and getting next to me. I held up my Capri-sun and gave a confused look at the camera while Dallon had a huge smile on his face and wide eyes. After he took the picture, he opened up his Instagram.
"What should I caption this?" He asked, causing me to chuckle. "God, you act like the president is gonna see your post or something." I laughed. "You know what, I'll just make that the caption." He stated confidently and began typing. "Here, I'll even give you credit." He smiled before posting. "You're so dumb." I laughed. "What about it?" He grinned. I kept laughing and managed to call myself down.
"Anyways, speaking of the past, I used to tease you and Ryan about how close you guys were." Dallon stated. "Yeah, what about it?" I raised an eyebrow. "It's got me thinking, do you actually like anyone?" Dallon crossed his legs and rested his head in his hand while fiddling with his phone. I took a deep breathe in.
"Ryan doesn't even know about it."
Dallon's eyes widened. "Seriously? You're telling me and not Ryan?" He gasped. "Yeah, I guess." I nodded. "So, Ryan Ross, your best friend in the entire world, the person you spend all your time with, doesn't know that you're into someone but me, Dallon Weekes, the guy who treated you two like shit gets to know?" He jumped up. "I mean, I guess. Not a big deal, I just didn't really want Ryan knowing that much."
"Can I know who it is, if that's okay?"
Here it goes. I finally get to talk to someone about the person who runs through my mind all the time. The person I can never stop thinking about. The person who looks like an angel and talks like one too. The one that I want to stare at all day and dream of all night. The one that makes me feel like I don't need to worry, as long as I have them.
"I like Ryan."
