If I was being perfectly honest, I was very happy to know Ronan's secret before everyone else because the look on their faces was priceless.

Jesper nearly jumped off the couch, Kaz and Inej stared in disbelief, and Nina choked on her food.

Ronan also looked uncomfortable. He had seemed uncomfortable when he had told me and at least I wasn't staring at him the whole time.

"Bullshit," Kaz called.

"It's not bullshit." Ronan defended. "I told you Cabeswater was my forest. I pulled it right out of my head."

Kaz stormed over to him. "Then it's your fault we're here."

Ronan held up his hands. "Woah, buddy, it doesn't work like that."

"And I should trust you because..?"

"Kaz," Inej warned, "Stop."

"Come on, why are we even trusting them? If what Tattoo here says is true then that forest is his, is him, so doesn't that mean he's responsible for why we're here and how to put us back?"

Ronan didn't fight back for some reason, and neither did his friends.

"Do you think," Blue spoke up, "it's like the puzzle box?"

Ronan shook his head slowly. "No-I... I couldn't of- I didn't-" He started for the door but Adam grabbed his arm.

"We're not saying you did, but maybe, somehow, you knew about it."

"No, I didn't."

"That's what you said about the language on the puzzle box-"

Ronan thrashed away from Adam's grasp. "I DON'T KNOW ABOUT IT!" He yelled and he stormed out.

Without thinking about it, I ran out after him. He ran to his car. No, I can't keep up with him in his car. But when he got inside he did nothing but blast music and stare at the steering wheel.

I tried three times to open the door then finally climbed through the broken back seat window.

"You okay?" I asked.

"I have a boyfriend, thank you very much." He bit.

"I'm just trying to be nice. You don't have to be all pissy."

"If you're just going to yell at me, find a different car."

"I just wanted to say that I don't think you did it."

"And why the hell do you think that?"

"Well... you just don't seem like the type of person that would do that." It wasn't that convincing but it was the only thing I could think of.

"Kaz doesn't think so,"

"Kaz doesn't know you," That was probably a lie, Kaz knew everyone inside and out, but I liked pretending he didn't.

Ronan turned in his seat to face me. "Hate to break it to you, twerp, but Kaz knows me better that you do. Me and him, as much as I hate to compare myself to that bastard, are not that different. The crappy hair cuts, tattoos, his cane, my leather bracelets. We're the same; we act like we rule the world but in reality we're just afraid of how useless we are."

"You can pull things out of your dreams. That's not useless."

Ronan rolled his eyes and slumped back in his seat. "I rule my dreams. My dreams only happen when I sleep. When things get dirty I can't just lay on the floor and fall asleep."

"At least you can read." I mumbled.

Ronan didn't say anything. We sat in silence for awhile. The car blasted angry music that made my ears hurt.
