Chapter One
Hostage_______________________________________
Dreams were shredded remnants of her past
Following her, haunting the mind.
Pairs of eyes now watching;
Cold breathes on her shoulder.
The unborn entities have taken her hostage
And this wasn't home anymore. The spirits of the dead whisper
As the night arrived at the doorstep.
Hiding under the bed
She clenched her eyes, covers the ears
Cloaked in her blanket
She waits for the dawn. But the nights get longer
And darker.
Leaves rustle in the wind,
Beast howls far away
The breeze carries a murmur
And the blanket isn't safe anymoreShe rushes from her bed
Hides in her wardrobe
Making sure the door is shut
Clothes fall to the floor.
Unsteady breathes
Trembling knees
Nothing feels close to reality.A hand tears through the wall
Making its way to her
Holding by the mouth
Muffling her screams
"Shhhhhh, don't drain your voice,
We have many more nights to go"Her heart dropped
Her tears stopped
She opens the door
Carries her body to the bed
And prays for the cycle
To be over._______________________________________
