Run Away

Some days you know
There is only so much
You can do
To hide the infestation
Of your mind.
When reality starts
Slipping through your fingers
You try to grab on
What little is left
And you run away.
Packing her bag
Wishing it was the last
Of living with demons
Last of crying in a dark room,
Feeling restless
And deprived of human affection.
She knows she is leaving behind
Her everything;
The family and friends.
Her heart grieved during the goodbyes
But tears don't fall
When your soul is weeping.
