Ruby laid a red checkered blanket on top of a small hill overlooking a vast meadow of flowers. She gazed at the horizon, her citrine-colored eyes glowed brighter as the sun shines down it's rays at her, making her orbs appear like molten gold. For someone having a solo picnic, her clothes seem a bit inappropriate. She wore a black and purple short dress with a few golden designs and a short white petticoat while a matching bonnet sat on top of her head with three roses bearing a combination of crimson and blue on their petals. Her appearance made her look like she was attending a fancy tea party instead of an outdoor picnic.

She retrieved a mug from her basket and poured herself a cup of tea from the pot boiling a few feet away. She took out a book from her basket and pulled out a container filled with sandwiches. She sliced the sandwiches into four triangles and laid them neatly on a ceramic plate. She took out a Tupperware bearing assorted fruits already peeled and sliced and placed it with her other dishes.

Ruby popped a strawberry in her mouth and started flipping through her book to look for the page she trailed off. She found the page she was looking for and and continued with her reading.

"Echarlate gazed up at the demon that held her in his armsHe had saved herhis enemybut whyIf it was hershe won't be as mercifulShe would have sliced him in half the moment she lay her eyes on him but now the demon kept her in his hold protectivelyThe Demon Lord suddenly—"

"What a surprising sight to see." Commented a person from behind her. Ruby's attention instantly left the words of her book and flew towards the person. She saw her fellow demon fighter walking up towards her with a smirk on his lips as if very amused to see her with the thought of doing some trouble. Her brow raised at her sudden companion but she wiped it away and mustered up a small smile.

"Likewise. What brings you here, Abyssal Prince?" She asked tilting her head in a curious manner.

Dyrroth chuckled and stood in front of her, looking down at her seated form. He blocked the sun from her sight allowing himself to be haloed by its golden rays, highlighting his proud built. He wore a white leather jacket and a black shirt underneath, paired with dark purple trousers. He could have passed for a magazine model if it wasn't for his purple skin tone, curved horns, and demonic tail because he carried his clothes really well. "I smelled something delicious and I came to check out what it was." He answered while licking his lips.

As predicted, Dyrroth is indeed planning something unpleasant. Why does he have to ruin her special day? This day is dedicated for her "me time" that she will use to think her life through especially with that coming in the picture.

"Did you smell my triple sauce beef sandwich which I made after my grandma's recipe? I can share you some if you want." Ruby smiled offering the plate.

"I wasn't talking about the sandwich, I was taking about you." Dyrroth handed her a bouquet of blue orchids and blue and red roses like the ones on her bonnet which she accepted shyly. A blush made it's way to her cheeks making her avert her face to hide her shame. This made the Demon Prince chuckle. The girl instantly composed herself and looked at him with a neutral face.
